Just some advice on the accessories pack of bits, what applies to 33012: do all bits fit to the model or are they dependent on loco.. I can't seem to find pics of 012.. Were snow ploughs fitted, for example.

OK thanks.. I think I will see if I can carry on the Heljan tradition and use some red bulbs for the rear blind.

Thanks for trying to help Roy.. Well may help others but I was resigned to the fact of having to take back on Monday. Anyway lesson learned, keep persisting and thinking, you may find a solution. I tried fiddling with blink settings and brightness settings on the 36-566, no joy. Changed chip around, no joy. Checked bulbs. Suddenly one end worked when I put plug back in terminal. Bingo. But other end still no joy. Checked other terminals, Bingo - it had been inserted in the wrong terminal. All working!! Hallelujah!! I'm presuming the spare terminals can be used for a red tail light, perhaps..?

New decoder bought, still No lights.. Something I'm missing or the loco is faulty I presume..

For 100 quid plus model in 2020" all lights shouldve been done.

Fitted right way round, tried the wrong way round aswell, just in case..! Can only think all my spare decoders have something wrong with their lighting circuits.. One decoder the lights went on /off and flickered.. And shouldnt this model have red tail lights as well? As there's only one bulb there..

Anybody had problems with new 33 lights? Can't get mine to work on a new weathered blue 012.. Is there something I'm missing, do I need a special decoder? Mark

I had a go at a scratchbuild during lokdown, it took some doing and had to guesstimate measurememts. Il probably leave it at a rake of one as no space for rakes in my wagon depot!!

I see that the Woking Merehead run now has red Toax' jna mixed in with 1998 Mrl jna these last few weeks. About half and half.

Wow interesting, I think I might have fitted the wrong type of bogie to my 1998 jna! Oh well!

Have a look at nigel burkins book on building wagons, he gives some tips on box wagon building. Boxs are difficult to get right, I know!

I've put several lima 59 bodies onto a Hornby 59 chassis thus utilising the far better motor and dcc plug and fitted lights. I bought Hornby 59s for around £40 and then sold the old bodies on ebay. The Hornby upgraded motor is not as good as top notch motors on expensive models but with fine tuning cv's works nearly as good.! The only drawback is its adhesion-will only pull 5-6 wagons :-( but the project can be achieved. I did this 3-4 yrs ago when at the time the Dapol 59 was sopposedly only a year off.. Its seems I made the right decision!!

Interesting project scooby, are you intending it to be a version of the Mrl jna? If you are short on Tf25 bogies Grizz has zillions of them, don't tell him I told you! The Roco wagons look interesting to buy as they are, as a alternative to the expensive revolution JNA? . Only disadvantage being slightly out of scale(?) I did attempt a build of the newer jna but wasn't completely happy with it as I couldn't get the paint and transfers right. Maybe il revisit them. Can't go to the pub at the moment anyway! I hope we can get back to some normality soon as I need some bogies off George and he usually makes Burton! Who's bought a hattons 66??

The railway has to keep running despite the nonsense going on out there... I see a lot of light engine workings going past on the railway whenever I look.. Must be a indication of a reduction in traffic.. I'm bashing around some lima pga at the mo.. Amazing how many different prototype there were..
