    Fantastic news. The bachman model has been outdated for a while and ive been saying it needs updating a couple of years ago. We have to move on. Next for the brave is to do the same with the class 37!!

    finally realised 'brexit' will never happen..? lol.. well feels like it !! Id say get on with an elite class 37, smoke , the best technology in sound and speakers... Hornbys 'Black Label' just a dream , 37 needs updating ..

    Yes i have been aware Skits may do them but getting hold of george is tricky. So instead i decided to use up alternatives that are available. Maybe il see George at burton and get some then.

    Oh and yes ive pushed the boundaries with the bogies as i have a few tf25 available.. Cant source the falcon bogies anywhere so compromised

    I use 40thou card for bodies and always have an assortment of strips for detail.. I want to do a version of an engineers train ive seen floating around westbury with this jna falcon and an OBA.. I may use an old Hornby saa underframe to do an OBA. I think its the same measurements.

    Mla are quite easy, just a basic box with ribs added and you could use fbt6 bogies or y25 from cambrian or try spares on ebay.. By coincidence i have built a JNA Falcon railtrack version today which took about 4hrs work so far..

    I want to do a cement train and with the bachman one around 30 squid I decided to have a bash and save some cash. A few adjustments needed but turned out ok. Camon Grizz get those TTA on the workbench... :-)

    Yes hack off all detail, sand down and start again.. Suspension units by cambrian.. The Hornby solbar is about 2mm too long.. Can cope with that... There's lots of potential with the old Hornby tta..

    yes I have some O and K bogies knocking around and they are available from s kits.. I might get some in the summer at burton show if he is there...it is a tall order to build one of these but Ill have a go. I see they are similar to Bachmann JGA with some added detail. Perhaps even a bash up is a possibility, although expensive.

    Yes no problem. Has anybody built a 4mm pha/jha? I see there is a n gauge body available at shapeways site... Does anybody know of a drawing anywhere..?

    Have a 4jua/pta on the way to add to my jya's and jna to make up mendip stone train. Like to knock up some railtrack jna falcons for another project but the axle bsc iii bogie doesn't seem to be available.. I will probably adapt some standard bsc bogies as a compromise..
