  1. I'm not getting sucked in any further, you've got time to waste on it and I haven't.
  2. The inaccurate comments, incorrect assessments and absence of meaningful information through a 'free' medium from a good number playing at it for an audience that pays nothing for it shows they care less. The audience doesn't need correct. Publishers have to be diligent, some YouTubers and Facebook/Twitter commenters couldn't give a monkeys.
  3. Saying it doesn't necessarily mean that it is correct or valid but, I could explain why but I wouldn't think it would change what you have told yourself is true. What we do is ensure that what we say is accurate, correct and reasonable; even if you think an online reviewer is 'better' they have less need to be accurate, correct or reasonable but there are ones that I can say definitely are - but they're not the 'popular' ones.
  4. At that point sets were being discussed.
  5. There's a lot of supposition in there - mostly incorrect.
  6. The answer is, most likely, the licence fee that would be payable which would be putting around another £30 on the ticket price.
  7. You are; you're trying to knock back anything that doesn't suit. e.g.
  8. The topic includes the whole spectrum of perspectives and no-one has been combative or offensive but you are now trying to dictate what can or cannot be said principally because it differs from your view. Just leave the topic and set one up about what you intend to do with your TT choices etc.
  9. It's nothing to do with shafting anyone, let alone on the basis of their age so I resent the accusation. I see no transaction for Premium or Gold membership that tallies with your email address but no-one was pushing you to do that anyway.
  10. If that's correct he wasn't there then (March 2014 - April 2018) so either his statement is incorrect or Hornby commenced the process before his involvement (which you wouldn't think from his announcement video).
  11. I'm not closing it off and there's no real need to let everyone else know. If you don't want to read it you don't have to plus there's a big red 'ignore' button at the top of the page.
  12. You could be an imposter now or been turned for all we know!
  13. But the catalogue and website imagery makes out it is. 😎
  14. From what I've seen of the Cricut it's not as capable as the Silhouette (which I've got) and there's no way that would do Wills slabs. It needs several passed on Slater's sheets to produce a result.
  15. The timeframe between announcement and delivery has been substantially changed and reduced over the last 18 months so the first point is null. I don't get what the second point actually means? Have you pre-ordered what will be announced in early November for delivery shortly after?
  16. That's really sad to hear. Thanks for Mike's backstory Ian.
  17. Big IF heard and understood! It'll be worth compatibility testing once the other products are out.
  18. What code rail would you use Wayne?
  19. With the direct worm to axle gear drive my railbus shared the same acceleration characteristics. 😎
  20. Maybe so; pop over to Mumsnet and see if they've heard of Hornby TT:120 and ask if they'd buy it for the family this Christmas. There's no evidence of that at all but it's been 'known about' in trade circles for several years with different speeds of the rumour mill ranging from "they've dropped the idea" through to "the warehouse is full of the stuff ready to go". Or it's giving an indication how much interest there is from the market. Careful! That's sensible thinking - as would a Santa set.
  21. @Howard Smith took them. I don't think he cracked anything open. 😎
  22. A very close one I'd say Tim.
  23. I'll let you do the legwork on that as it's absolutely nothing to do with my point that what the customer will get is not what has been portrayed.
