  1. Noooo! My ears are getting hairier! Which for someone with my hairstyle is a) annoying, b) ridiculous and c) an unnecessary aspect of maintenance.

@tractionman - you think I should stop using the kitchen scissors?

"I did stick a candle up one nostril but it didn't do much". Perhaps you were supposed to light it?

Sounds like one of those ASMR videos on youtube!

  2. There's no place for comments like that either.
  3. Jim Davidson's a comedian; but he's not funny either.
  4. However half a dozen unconnected persons sent scans of the page/comment over to me yesterday raising eyebrows; it's incorrect to relate it to 'sense of humour', it's a generational thing.
  5. Working fine here - https://britishrailwaybooks.co.uk/ Clear your browser cookies and browsing history and try again.
  6. It isn't. That image is taken from our World of Railways site - https://www.world-of-railways.co.uk/news/hornby-tt-model-prototypes-examined/
  7. A crass insult which means your access to the topic is removed.
  8. Please stop talking nonsense. Virtually every town and village across the country has permanent memorials created after WW1 and added to in WW2. There were few small villages in England and Wales who did not lose a resident in either of the world wars. Herodsfoot - Cornwall Bradbourne - Derbyshire Langton Herring - Dorset Upper Slaughter - Gloucestershire Middleton-on-the-Hill - Herefordshire Arkholme - Lancashire Nether Kellet - Lancashire Flixborough - Lincolnshire High Toynton - Lincolnshire Allington - Lincolnshire Butterton - Staffordshire Llanfihangel y Creuddyn - Ceredigion Tregolwyn - Glamorgan Herbrandston - Pembokeshire Stocklinch - Somerset South Elmham St MIchael - Suffolk Places many have never heard of; I can say I've only knowingly been to three four of them.
  9. Visit the Armed Forces Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum. There are 16,000 names of service staff who have died since WW2. Including members of our wider family. And there are spaces for more.
  10. Your fame is spreading Giles! https://yorkmix.com/watch-model-railway-enthusiast-creates-stunning-version-of-york-station-in-perfect-miniature/ I've just forwarded on another press enquiry. ;)
  11. Today I shall mostly be biting my tongue. There won't be much left by teatime.

  13. Now moved to more appropriate section. 🙄
  14. No. I removed your previous abrasive post and this one nearly went the same way.
  15. ... and sit at home in their pants, eat Wotsits and watch it on YouTube so the show organiser or layout owner doesn't get any benefit from the viewer (other than the benefit of their opinion being broadcast to the world so their reputation can be questioned). Maybe they don't want to see 'right', 'wrong' gives them so much more purpose in life.
  16. As they say "Suck! Don't blow!" Try one of these https://www.jdwilliams.co.uk/shop/worlds-smallest-vaccum/AV591/product/details/show.action?pdBoUid=7010&optionColour=No Colour&optionSize=NO SIZE&promo=6202&cm_mmc=GOOGLE-_-JDWilliams-_-na-_-PRODUCT_GROUP&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&gclid=Cj0KCQjwk5ibBhDqARIsACzmgLQbVvr84Mnw2OTR0yj7flw6Y1GvNhT0cqkWAyB-gV07zjEvK7Itrf0aAmltEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds Or I can recommend this https://spareandsquare.co.uk/products/universal-fine-dust-dirt-removing-tool-fits-most-vacuum-cleaners?variant=40502511141033&gclid=Cj0KCQjwk5ibBhDqARIsACzmgLRpca-dcAHi7C4-xkSXRZA4E-dfgEL8vT0YisQzoyyo-97kM8P8XLQaAoUZEALw_wcB Great for the workbench, leaves little screws behind whilst gets dust up.
  17. If you can class not continuing to bill me for services I'd already cancelled 'compensation'? 😉 I'm still fuming about the whole saga and its impact on so many people with a portion of that reserved for 'the enemy within' that is our own barrier to progress IT dept.
  18. You can't upload videos to the site. You do it to YouTube or similar and paste the URL into a post here. I think the requests are fair game as you started the topic off with the things others shouldn't or should do; 50% of which I proved as tosh shortly after. You set a ball rolling but it seems you don't like that ball when it's rolling back to you. It is 'put up or shut up' point.
  19. Ambiguous source material + images didn't cover all areas of the layout. The layout owner signed off the plan even though I queried the geometry in that area but did correct other aspects.
  20. Yes, I am keeping a sceptical eye focussed on this topic.
  21. We'll have 3 pages grumbling about the wrong shade of black on here.
  22. I need one guinea pig (at first), just stick your hand up and tell me which forum area you have a problem accessing, which browser you have and which OS you have. I need to then look at a couple of things and reset to a temporary password I will PM to you before I do anything so you can subsequently get back in.
  23. A further clue sits in the decoder fitting section of the instruction leaflet with sections for locos with and without pony truck.
  24. Faces that only mothers could love. ;) I assume, in N particularly, that you need a re-railer to get the things on the track?
  25. They'll probably be on the shelves around the same time, maybe separated by a few weeks at most. The Quarry Hunslets are on their way at the mo.
