  1. No; even in the flesh Gilbert. I'd keep it as is, would it give any operational benefit?
  2. And the top of the bun!
  3. It's funny how kits tend to be dearer than ready to eat.
  4. It certainly is, in years gone by visits were on a private basis and then about 4 years ago there were more open weekends, post-Covid there have been numerous and diverse events appealing to the family and non-enthusiast markets. It keeps getting more accessible open all over Easter and then from 19 April they're open Wednesday to Sunday.
  5. Bought or made? Is it cheque book breakfasting?
  6. Your unpleasant attitude has won you a week's holiday.
  7. I can solve it on a more permanent basis if you want to push it?
  8. It'll be because you're annoying several members, and us, today.
  9. Sorry I missed seeing this Jim - I sorted the permissions for you when I was working through who had bought what at the end of last week. I don't think you'd completed steps 1-4 in the OP.
  10. I certainly wouldn't as it doesn't look readily fixable. As the nearest comparison it is far inferior to an 07 from the same stable although evidently a different factory. The wheels look like they are from the 1980s.
  11. For which a warning has been issued, weird and inappropriate.
  12. No 'we' won't. You published injurious comments and should retract them or apologise.
  13. I won't have you maligning a well-run operation here because of your unrealistic expectations and lack of common sense.
  14. Statfold is far from that sort of environment; their main 'shed' is more to the standard and quality of the NRM.
  15. It is an excellent attraction and facility with numerous excellent events. RMweb is not TripAdvisor. You may well have devalued your other opinions and contributions.
  16. They have plenty of people who are genuine enthusiasts for their whole lives, knowledgeable, innovative and entirely frank. I know that's a poor substitute. 😶
  17. It's not dissimilar to a sandwich bar that was across from one of the Uni sites in the City I used to nip into. it was the start of the Yuppie era but it was old school service, throw as much stuff at office workers as quickly as possible rather than a barista farting about for 15 minutes making a cup of coffee. They'd also make anything you wanted - brie and anchovy on rye please.
  18. Melodramatic. It's not always possible. I've recently had something through my hands with body-mounted kinematic coupling that ended up with a useless, flappy, irritating, unfit for purpose knuckledragger - but you'd think it was better with that simplistic stance.
  19. @mdvle - please stop being a princess because a topic you created was locked. No, I won't be locking the topic where it could have been (and earlier was) posted.
  20. Tie them in with the National Library of Scotland' map resources and you're well on your way. https://maps.nls.uk/
  21. It's too wide a question - basically you're asking for the whole history of trains. What do you actually want to know?
  22. I've now got visions of Eamonn Andrews being resurrected to do "This is your Company" with Phyllis from Westwood House's factory canteen saying "Do you remember when you said you'd put the office telephone number on that model by mistake?" followed by Shiny Shoes Nat explaining why Design Clever was such a good idea.
  23. It's bigger than any other manufacturers split payment buttons - you can't even see theirs they're that small. 😶
