  10. To anyone who hasn't yet read "Platform Souls" by Nicholas Whittaker... I would hearily reccommend it! It's a fabulously funny look at our hobby, as viewed by ourselves and "non-believers" Buy it NOW, read it as soon as it arrives - You won't regret it... Honestly :)

Yes notascoobie, it is about train spotting, not modelling,

but most rail modellers are fans of the real thing too, I guess...

I found myself laughing at the book, myself, and those who "criticise" rail fans...

There can't be too many books that could do that... :)

And Mr Barry Ten, I thought you'd forgotten...

So I bought another copy, as I wanted to re-read a few quotes...

Please pass my old copy on to Roger....

We all know you like mirrors on your layouts Marc... just stick your 37s in front of them. It'll be close enough for jazz. ;)

  20. Hi Mikey!

What's with the new avatar? Looks less like you than the last one!

P.S. I know I still don't have one myself, but I'm waiting to see the result at the weekend - it may make my hair go grey overnight!

You up for an rmweb WAG do then?

It'll be Worth the journey from way-out west, I'm sure!

    Cheers

    Marc

  21. You can't blame me - I'm innocent!

Or I'll wear dark glasses and change my name anyway!

    Watching this one with interest!

P.S. Now I've finished the crate - I've talked about adding further crates, and people ask me when I'm going to finish the next one......and that's YOUR fault!

  22. Randall, you're too kind! Thanks for all your positive comments re: me, Ollie + the tiniest layout I ever made!

I felt compelled to add you as a friend, as I struggle to find my way round the new rmweb! Are you going to the Rhondda show in January?

  23. Hi Barry! Thanks for helping out with Roath Minor / aka Bracty Bridge at the weekend!

    Cheers

    Marc
