  1. A very nice touch i noticed is the scrap piece of rail on the sleeper ends along side the class 22. You've perfectly accented the different rust colour where its been sat in the chairs! Never seen that modelled before with regards to the colouring, most impressive. Sometimes its the little things that make a big difference to realism. One tip I picked up years ago, have you tried an HB pencil on buffer heads to replicate grease??
  2. Looks promising and a fine start but far too early to draw any conclusions obviously. Is the curve under the windscreens http://www.philt.org.uk/BR/BR-Class-50/i-Psfqr2z/A to flat or spot on?? Do the screens have enough 'rake back' on them-

Expensive fire wood! On a serious note, a fair bit of woodwork went into that at one time , shame its ended the way it has.
  4. Il be dammed! Last time i saw 521 it was literally ready to be picked up with a broom and shovel! Certainly a case of back from the dead that one.
  5. Joining one or the other is also a worthwhile option these days for when and if the waste matter should hit the rotating ventilation device for whatever reason, you will have some protection and support! I dont agree with all their decisions but that is one of the reasons I joined when I did. Good T's&C's being the other.
  6. Since Bachmann's announcement, the present one and previous, I imagine the SWL C25 subject is a tightly guarded business secret right now! I suspect they have made a few decisions recently regarding these models that we are not party too. It's a good tactic and keeps your competitor guessing.

Crikey, I remember when those first came out under Lima, abit of a revelation at the time IIRC.

It looks to be a very basic model with a crude moulding for £66 letalone double that!! Unfortunatley, it gets worse, much worse- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bachmann-BR-Standard-Class-5MT-73109-BR-Lined-Black-Early-Emblem-BR1B-Tender/162724597437?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D49130%26meid%3Ddfabf65f3e80445fb151616037ea6b18%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D2%26sd%3D162725111712&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851

A little more madness on this Christmas eve, in the form of a poorly built and painted (with a roller it looks like) banana shaped 0 gauge whistling wardrobe for a rather steep £550. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/7mm-Finescale-O-Gauge-The-Tower-Collection-TC9-BR-Blue-Diesel-Class-20-20002/222689640873?hash=item33d95641a9:g:5GEAAOSwK~RaFfYR Think I'd rather have a fine RTR brand new example from Tower models for £475!!

Maybe he could use the money from the sale to buy a decent bleddy camera! This caught my eye earlier. Dont all rush at once mind!! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4mm-OO-GAUGE-KIT-SCRATCH-BUILT-NETWORK-RAIL-SANDITE-VEHICLE-QVX-ADB975462/222760228339?hash=item33dd8b55f3:g:i9MAAOSw~HBaDuUS
  13. Have to agree. Its time these TOC's learnt that these "fiz bang" vinyl's should be left on buses not trains! Atleast some are starting to realise it.
  14. Crikey, thats very useful! I just spent an hour trying disipher wether a Lok decoder was a 3.5 or a V4 just from one poor picture. The dead givaway though was the fact that the speaker attached to it was a 100 Ohm speaker putting it firmly in V3.5. The above link confirms that! It was taken from a Bachmann 37049 cat number 32-783DS which was released at around 2011 to 2012 ish. From what I can make out, this was when ESU were moving from V3.4 to V4.
  15. Pretty much as above. When did they go over to v4? Thankyou in advance.
  16. And that is still very common today! All MTU HST powerunits that are fitted or removed in Laira are brought in and taken out by road. I see them regularly going up and down the A38. All their HST bogies are also moved by road.
  17. I would if the price was right. Everything is for sale at the right price. Donate... no. Sorry.

It wouldn't be so bad if it actually looked like an F7 but its not even close! Looks like a waste of good ally sheet. Be lucky to get 4 grand for it as scrap, letalone 44!!
