  1. Hi All, Anyone speak to the staff from Peco at Aly Paly about when their new points are likely to be launched....
  2. The warflats look good to me - espically when they will be loaded with my Oxford Diecast military land rovers..... Any idea when these wagons will be available?
  3. Better late, than never.....
  4. Yep I have to agree. I purchased 15 lengths just prior to Christmas & I have had faultless running on this trackwork since. Can't wait for the turnouts so I can complete my permanent way &!then start the Ballasting & scenic work.
  5. Hi All, Producing the hopper wagons to match the class 59 is a natural progression. If the quality & pricing is in line with their recent Freightliner HIA's it will be a sure fire winner.
  6. Hi all, Pleased to see Hornby are looking to provide the MGR as a HFA with a yellow cradle as a 3 pack. I know we have had the MGR with Railfreight red cradle, an EWS version as well as a single variant with graffiti on it last year. I believe the R6761 HAA with yellow cradle was introduced in 2016 but somehow this past me by. With this new HFA is I believe the first time that this combination of yellow cradle & hood has been provided. I am sure someone can confirm if this is the case. Anyhow, this will enable me to really mix up my rakes. Happy modelling.
  7. & then there is the 47/0 'Herbert Austin'. Very nice. Best get saving.
  8. Hi all, Continuing my military theme from posts prior to Christmas (Hatton's Warwell & Bacmann Warflats), I am really looking forward to getting a rake of VEA vans in Railfreight red & grey livery. The million dollar question, of course is when will these be available? Maybe the new Bachmann 2017 catalogue will reveal all......
  9. HI All, Whilst at Warley I visited the Bachmann stand & they had some examples of an unpainted warflat on display. With a 'fair wind', it is planed to release these in 2017. I mentioned about a more 'modern' load such as a warrior or scorpian - I don't have the skills, patience or time to make up & paint half a dozen of the available kits, & was advised 'no plans at the moment'. So the Oxford diecast Landrover Defenders will be my choice of load once these wagons become available. However, this got me thinking, so I visited Oxford Diecast who were also exhibiting & asked about any future plans for modern military tanked vehicles. I was advised that obtaining plans of these types of vehicles are (obviously) difficult. However, there were some 'opportunities' that were being reviewed so I guess watch this space..... Mind you, they would look good in the recently announced Hatton's Warwell so maybe some 'interest' registered here may spurn on said manufacturer.
  10. Hi all, I spoke to the guys on the Peco stand today at Warley who confirmed the new 00 gauge track work will be available before Christmas (hopefully in the next couple of weeks). With regards to the pointwork, the are looking to introduce the large radius (straight) points initially. No news on curved points or slips but I guess if the take up is good these will follow in due course.
  11. I have a few of their snow ploughs admittedly purchased a few years ago, & very fine models they are too.
  12. Looking at these tankers they really do look superb - well done chaps. Not being an 'N' gauge modeller they are not relevant to me, however, I understand they are also going to be produced in 00. Now where is my wallet.....
  13. Hi all, Some good news.... Hatton's have announced today that they are planning to provide the warwell wagon in 00 & 0 gauge. These will be available suitable for different eras & some also available 'weathered'. These will be available in Q4 2017.
  14. Hi all, Bachmann are currently listing this warflat wagon Suitable for era's 3, 4 & 5. I am planning to use these for my layout's time period mid 1980's to mid 1990's with the Oxford diecast military Land Rover Defenders. I am also thinking of using the Bofors gun. Both these items have been manufactured in khaki & 'desert sand 'so a realistic rake complete with a Bachmann VGA at the rear could be made. However, it would be nice to have a ready made Scorpion or Warrior tank for the potentially forth coming well wagon. Maybe Bachmann will commission a manufacturer to provide this as well..... Any ideas out there?
  15. I also saw this promoted by my local retailer as 'coming soon'. My current project has stalled in anticipation of this new Peco track. Looks to good to me.
  16. That's my deposit paid. Looking forward to this Dave.
  17. Hi all, Anyone has any further news on when this new Peco track (with correct sleeper spacing) is due to be launched. In addition, any developments on the S. & C. Are Peco waiting for Warley to officially launch this product......
