So ! Scunthorpe show was a success ! . Besides a minor controller failure on Saturday (009 side) and 2 locos failures . We had 2 good days of running the layout. Plenty of wonderful comments. And many friends visiting Not to mention a steelworkers reunion as such as they gathered around the layout. Really enjoyed to opportunity to display the layout on home ground

just received my replacement from Rapido after the first went away, original issues were, damaged smokebox dart , damaged brass smokebox valve, and the chassis rode up and down at the back end Just tested my replacement, and while the door dart is much better, the smokebox valve is still snapped and barely hanging on, and the chassis, it still raises and lowers slightly at the cab end and seems to have 2 tight spots. if stopped at the wrong position, it wont move off without higher power, initiating a launch ! i see the more i read the more and more it seems to be a problematic chassis that im guessing we will have to live with

'Genesis' 4 & 6 wheel coaches in OO Gauge - New Announcement
gpplumy replied to Hattons Dave's topic in Hattons
with the liveries, has there been any consideration to the brown livery in british rail ? much like the tramway coaches carried on the Kelvedon and Tollesbury Light Railway ? -
another thing to add if you can , always take spare operators ( occasionally even friends) , if not for your own sake , then others. me and 4 friends went to a show at the Yorkshire farming museum, brilliant little show. and i ended up sub contracting my friends to other layouts so they could have lunch breaks. my other thought is to be able to help others in need with any issues they have come up, i can remember many times at the Gainsborough model railway laid under baseboards during a show, helping out where ever i could

ive 6 W & u books all together or which each has something a little different, if nothing else than different pictures

for me, i try to be set up the day before if its on offer, track tested, wagon stock down, and one loco usually stays with the layout thats "trusted" to run. the other locos usually travel with me after the various break ins ive seen. i carry a spare controller, wire, switches , point motors and tool kit, but if someting fails and i can work around it, id rather do that till the end of the day, and it can make for interesting shunting operations, but so far ive been lucky , it wont last though

Models I'd love to see you produce Considering you already have a J70 with model rail , and the bogie coaches on the way..... and you announced the skirted 04 will be part of the 04 project.... Can we just add the g15/y6 tram and the 4 wheeled coaches from the wisbech and upwell ? Bonus points for the luggage van and brake coach ;) Love you guys. !
