  1. Actually, by the time it's perfected in a year or two you will be able to sell them back to Barwell for £5 a pair and undercut their supplier!
  2. Yeah, it's terrible. Send it back for a full refund. If you're quick and search hard you may get a Hornby one, without the fault. Actually tell you what, season of good will, we know Margates QC can be a little wanting at times, send it me and I will send you a prestine, mint Hornby one as replacement. Pm me if I can assist.
  3. It only had to come from Birmingham up the M6, then again that could take 12hrs on a really bad day....
  4. Suppose I better get back to what I came here for....... With the announcement somewhere else of the somewhat limited return of the poly bulk - I did suggest somewhere around here a while ago that A/S go for the larger version. Hopefully, if not already being worked on, could give A/S the confidence to go for it. Twin packs like the HYAS would be great, even if like with the Banana Vans, they went up to the likes of £84.99 Likewise would make the ideal accompanyment to the Class 37 products in the 37/0 to 37/4 range......
  5. Yeah! Yeah! So what! Common knowledge just like the rest of the worst kept secrets. Interesting thing is what the third/thurd member of the team is measuring up. Bet he's snook over Etches Park and measured up a 222....... Yet another worst kept secret....
  6. Perhaps consist the train, so when loco forward, rear lights on coaches and vice versa?
  7. Which being AS would no doubt incorporate all the rest of the 'family' going upto and including Class 13. Perhaps even a cut down, and if they really want to go wild one of those unusual coal wagons to go with it.....
  8. Shame they haven't done 92002, seem to recall that got its bits frozen on a test track in Czech Republic. Would be quite easy to replicate it in current conditions.....
  9. Sounds like you have a "Q" branch, working on "boings", "thingies" and "what do ya call em's!" I had herd rumours that the Accurathrash speaker was really a bug....... Could get scary if Accurascale launch a pen and a watch......Class 50 with laser in the headlight activated by pressing F10. My wallet disintegrated at Warley just looking at a 3D print of the cab......
  10. With such great technology coming with models nowadays...... How long will it be before models come with a controllable coupling. Just a thought for the future......
  11. I know the models are seriously detailed, but I hope that we are not quite at the stage of needing a Morris Crane as the hand of God for coupling and uncoupling......
  12. I wouldn't fancy the AS FNAs chances of survival with an AS 46 - probably not something the UKAEA would want to share with the public! LOL!
  13. No, apararantly Adb968008 prefers fission. He has too many lovely 66s, so trying to split them to get some great Class 33s!
  14. Would expect it will be after all the versions that trader's were offered are in stock, thus sent as one delivery.
  15. Fear not, there is always the DJM Class 92 in defunct suppliers. It may be a tad quiet though.....
  16. Must have just been an illusion. Doh! They missed the carbon strips! LOL. Glad you say 'Best OO pan', best homemade pan and idiot goes to the guy at Kidsgrove who thought it was clever to carry a 9ft Copper pipe under 25KV wires. The stupidity only got worse when he thought the rubber soles on his shoes would save him....
  17. 92003 looks a little rough, although with the paint technology used by Brush, expect a good clean would get a pretty decent finish. Not bad for a 25yr+ paint job. Scarily, it would pretty much only take EWS beastie logo, plus white transfers for the stenciled operator to recreate!
  18. Nice......does the Pan head on the 92 look a tad oversized? On the Cal Sleeper, while less distinguished, the top one looks a little too blue too! Take it only the middle one is totally right?
  19. I think if anyone did 66, then they would probably start from the ground up, so they could design out the Hattons issues, rather than buy someones tooling and bitting and bobbing would probably be more time consuming, problematic and thus expensive. But I really, really, really like the Hattons 66, and great at £119!..... But I don't really need any more! And at what price point do you think a new batch will come in at. Some may try and keep below £200,but Bachmann and Hornby top spec Diesels are already at the 220-245 mark. Those who picked Hattons 66s up, and stuck with them - in the long run probably got a good bargain, and they certainly look the part, plus with a little fettle run superbly to!
  20. Done a good job there removing the Numbers and EWS. What method have you used?
  21. Actually no. I made a comment that was ridiculed for his own ego, or that was the interpretation. And according to his footnote, may like to do it again if it offends..... The lesson is, treat others as you would like to be treated. You just don't learn.......'I always forget a sense of humour is often as lacking as common sense.' Anyone can make a mistake, but Twice???? It's good to know that you do actually know something even if you sometimes forget? ,and don't have to assume everything - is that from personal experience? I'd consider adding Mutual Respect too, it's pretty low on some agendas. Let's get back to something worthwile..... Those Mk5's really do look delightful and most definitely will be the talking point of many layouts. Only negative is the box - such a shame to store an item of such beauty under the layout!
  22. Also interesting that it's only on the cab rain strip, and didn't wrap all around in the beginning....
  23. That could be the 1st of April Announcement! Sure Fran has plenty of time to get it ready.......
