  1. Just really an automatic result of the crossing angle, had it been a square crossing there would not have been room.
  2. 1) For meney to be saved then you must have it in the first place, but this money was due to be borrowed at some future date when needed for phase 2. 2) So whatever it will get you, (Not much) it will be well into the fiture so it won't be "Rishi" taking credit or blame for it. 3) It hasn't gone anywhere since its not been borrowed yet.
  3. You are still missing the shunt signals to get back into the station from the Up main, adjacent to the first point end.
  4. And all apparently finding their way quite readily. I don't see that the new namers will be helpful, more likely add confusion for a while at least. The signage and train destinatoion boards etc are very good already.
  5. I would put 1 and 7 on the same lever, they form a crossover between the up and down. Other than that You are there I think. Crossover 4 and point 8 could be arranged with 8 as part of the crosover but its Hobson's choice really as either version could give the larger collision risk depending on the traffic pattern.
  6. Are we talking 4mm or 2mm? I thought Peter was asking about 2mm, but Ben's looks like 4mm to me. I have a 4mm one part built but it comes without the gate operating mechanism which I have found basic drawings that show it but have yet to build. IMHO a significant omission.
  7. Its the availability of that top speed that spurs on the racers, the topic here is not the majority of accidents its the street racing idiots.
  8. Yes, but the top speed of cars could be regulated and enforced, at least to some degree. There is no way to regulate the IQ of potential drivers.
  9. Y'all do your best now to discourage people from visiting. It's still going to be a good show and worth a visit.
  10. Since this museum exhibit relates to the Israel/Palestine railways then the UK conventions on signal arm placement may not be relevant anyway. Railways with predominently single line and crossing loops tended to do what suited them.
  11. See https://www.scalefour.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=767
  12. Having a lock in the tray and not connected to any bar is a common technique, but your latest version is OK too. You are not exactly short of space in this example.
  13. Seperating is fine, but no need to duplicate, which would make demonstrating harder. Do each lock seperately then you will have 6 bars rather than the 3 possible.
  14. Well, that's not how I thought I described it, but it nearly does the job. However, if you pull 3 and then pull 5, 3 should be held reverse but it isn't so can be moved back to normal.
  15. Quite a bit of excess locking in that dog chart. The bottom 2 bars are fine, 1 and 4 lock 3 and 2 and 5 released by 3. So your double ended dogs for 1 locks 2 and 4 locks 5 are redundant as its already covered via 3.. The top two bars can be combined into one, giving 1 or 2 locks 4 and 5, and 4 or 5 locks 1 and 2. just 3 bars in total.
  16. So, you quote half my post, contradict me with "No its not" then continue in some detail to explain why I'm correct if you read all my post. A pity we don't have a signalling plan of the area and which points were run through.
  17. Sectional route release, TORR or not is a hazard in any area where shunt moves occur and thus a train/loco may reverse in section, and the route releasing should be designed with that in mind.
  18. Found them, https://clarkrailworks.com/ Scrolling down the page reveals a lot of DJH kits at sale prices but it looks rather like a sell off. I didn't see any indication that they are making any more.
  19. I believe that when fibreglass was used for boiler lagging it was referred to as a mattress.
  20. So all our attacks on the Houthi have achieved so far is an increase in the list of ships that are at risk of attack.
  21. Just the sort of publicity that was needed before Rishi made his cancellation decision, a bit late now. But maybe if we get more of the same the message will get through to the next government.
  22. Has the meaning of "deck" changed recently? I don't see any deck in the video just support girders.
