  1. Agreed @Squirrel Rail - as good as your work is ... I'd rather send you a Schenker 90 to re-brand into CB Hall (90035) or Lasta Oftaclass (90040) ... or an EWS one, to re-number and make tired/ weathered - or even a Grand Central one, to make into an ex-GC. Kat :-)
  2. just look at what's on Ebay @XChris there are no shortages of RfD and Powerhaul ones, but ICSwallow ones are comparatively scarce. Kat :-)
  3. This layout is incredible ... in OLE terms, IMHO probably in the top two best UK WCML style layouts out there, in terms of the whole package and detail.
  4. Thank you Chris :-) Do you know the dates these took place ? Its just when I video 90s for my YouTube channel i normally write a short description about their recent history and little tit bits like this help to bring it all together - not to worry if you don't know. Kat :-)
  5. I think your EWS liveried 90s have already left a lasting impression on a number of us here @Squirrel Rail - awwww there are just soo many ''ideally'' liveries, EWS is a yeah, but so is Christine in her DB Glider livery, the Backbone livery, an ex-Grand Central one as well .. I just hope I come across one or two of the above on Ebay in the meantime - and hey Bachmann, an EWS one is going to be just the ticket !!! Kat :-)
  6. That's good to hear @PM47079 is that being done at Wolverton or Basford Hall ? I imagine 90013 will be up soon also having gone for wheel turning recently (and had problems getting there i believe) Kat :-)
  7. Hey, of the ex-GA 90s, 90014 and 90015 have been repainted into G&W orange and black. 90048 is the newest of the G&W repaints, having recently been released from Wolverton paintshop and has already been in service, several have also been painted at Basford Hall as well. The Freightliner 90s are, as late June 2021 G&W orange - 90014, 90015, 90044, 90047 & 90048 Racing Green - 90016, 90041 and 90046 Powerhaul ones - 90042, 90043, 90045 and 90049 ex-GA ones - 90003 to 90013 Kat :-)
  8. The level of detail you are going for is pretty cool pet. I'm actually working on the idea of having a signature set too Jack, not of something for my layout, but possibly for other / exhibition audiences for a modelling equivalent of 4M25 - I have about 20 boxes now in various Malcolm Rail OR partner brands and states and I am even going to get some rebranded, to bring some of my boxes up to date (Dapol /Bachmann Malcolm boxes) Kat :-)
  9. A perfect addition for @WrattingRoadi would say ... is this a @Squirrel Rail one too Jack ? Kat :-)
  10. Yeah thank you for that @Ncarter2, I wish i had used @Squirrel Rail from the start, some of my 90s are needing touch-up works, which tbf, he'll sort in time, my DB Blue (90034)'s grilles both came off - and the standard of the detailing wasn't as good as it should have been - so he'll be kept busy from my end, that's for sure - and there are also liveries i am missing also, despite having a good number now in various shades of DB - I had hoped Bachmann would have done a DB or EWS 90 by now, certainly the latter makes sense, and then from that at least one, maybe two nicely weathered long term store example(s) would be finding themselves at Johnson Street IEMD. Still lots to ponder in the near future, that's for sure Kat :-)
  11. Following on from having added Barbie to the Johnson Street Skoda pool, I've recently taken the opportunity to get one of my existing DB90's detail proof'd by Jerry at @Squirrel Rail . Bill looks more polished off in a slightly grimey ''working'' state and nice compared to Barbie. Kat@johnsonstreetIEMD
  12. Friday 18th June 2021 Nine of the likely thirteen Class 90s through Stafford 1 and 2 Scott (90001) and Wolfe (90002) 3 Christine (90037) 4 and 5 Freightliner 90s 041 and 012 6 and 7 Bumblebee1 and Bumblebee2 (with Christine) 8 and 9 - Jack and Multimodal on Malcolm rail. Kat :-)
  13. tempted to do an ex-GC 90 ? do you mean in Bachmann form ? Kat :-)
  14. @Zunnan .. as a slight consolation ... you may find if all else fails, you could either set it up as a dummy or sell it on Ebay as such, I imagination there would be no shortage of takers for it. Good luck and hopefully, it doesn't come to that Kat
  15. 4M25 / 4S47 action last week - Multimodal and Jack are back on duty this week (wc-14/6) - and Backbone is set to head back to Crewe having been on the circuit the week before. Monday - 7th - 4M25 Southbound Monday - 7th - 4S47 - Northbound Wednesday 9th - 4M25 - Southbound Wednesday 9th - 4S47 - Northbound Friday 11th - Multimodal (90019) and Jack (90036) ran both south and north but I didn't catch them. Kat@johnsonstreetIEMD
  16. @Dungrange thank you for that ... i do recall seeing c-rail now you mention it, but not for a while @arran I am guessing you can't do any more, due to a licensing issue ? I am looking to upgrade some of my Malcolm boxes and i'm not having any joy, do you know of anybody else who does these, if not yourselves, i am guessing if you have been out of stock for sometime, this means you are unable to do some more ... if there is no reason not to, maybe a new set would be a good idea ... there is actually a new Malcolm branded box out on the 4M25 circuit promoting a series of less well known Scottish? hardboard brands on a teal-ish coloured box but still Malcolm branded ... see 0.43 seconds maybe you could do some of those as well ... i noticed this when video-ing 4M25 last week. Kat
  17. Does anyone know who does Malcolm decals ? As I am trying to update my Bachmann/Dapol boxes Kat@johnsonstreetIEMD
  18. Hi Aron @dmu 156 Whats going to happen to the OLE at the end of this build ? I would be interested in procuring some of it possibly, especially the more usual pieces such as the terminating OLE points, whether they are purely single track in form, as my layout plans require both - as seen singular on the approach to Crewe from Chester - and for the double track - at Basford Hall depot where OLE comes to and end above the loco. It would be good to talk to you about this as well - being a big fan of OLE myself - and seeing how much OLE on this layout is also fascinating for me. Kind Regards Kat
  19. 7th June 2021 A recent opportunity presented itself to make one of my DB90s sound fitted and knowing that two of them were still analogue. It was a toss up between Barbie and Bellshill to get the nod, well its ladies first and Barbie has gone digital and the sound has gone to Multimodal which I expect to be the busier of the two. A quick clip of this is below:
  20. Johnson Street IEMD coming along with not much more to do - backscene needs mounting, road track carriageway detail finishing off - as well as OLE being mounted for shed one to the left and head shunt for access to Shed 2.
  21. Them cats ... lol ... I am planning to get some clear perspex panels to cover the front of the layout - and am pondering a lid of sorts - as Rox is just too curious. Kat@johnsonstreetIEMD
