  1. 31st December 2021 DB Cargo Class 90's, Bumblebee3 (90020) and Multimodal (90019) returning home to Crewe IEMD in time for New Year's Eve, having earlier worked 4M25. Seen here at Stafford station A new pair to look forward to for Monday hopefully ...
  2. You can probably get aftermarket plates for 92020 from Railtec or similar...
  3. DB Cargo pairing of 90019 (Multimodal) and 90020 (Bumblebee3) passing through Stafford on 4m25. 30th December 2021
  4. Freightliner 90s passing Stafford L60 - FL90s - Freightliner pair of 90007 and 90011 ?, newly back in traffic following G&W treatment @ Wolverton, passing through Stafford station 14th december 2021
  5. Jack (90036) taking DB Cargo team mate Class 92, 92042 back to.Creee IEMD, the Dyson still in DB Schenker branding, following its period of time before maintenance on HS1. This is the northern part of the movement which sees the 92 moved from Dollands Moor to Wembley sidings by a Class 66 or 67 before being hauled north by a cariety of DB traction. This is due to the Class 92 no longer being able to operate through the third rail areas between Wembley and Dollands Moor. As a result, the 92s are moved back and forth regularly. 14th December 2021
  6. Freightliner 90s, 90046 and 90041 on 4m87 (Felixstowe to Trafford park) through Stafford station 9th December 2021
  7. Hold on, they're at it again, DB Cargo's Class 90s playing their own version of musical chairs as Jack (90036) is swapped out for Bill (90028), pairing up with Malcolm (90024), seen here at Stafford station on 4S47 7th December 2021
  8. Jack (90036) and Malcolm (90024) relieve Bill (90028) and Bumblebee2 (90029) shortly after returns to traffic for the pair, seen here at Stafford station on 4S47 3rd December 2021
  9. DB90's returning to duty on Malcolm Rail, starting with Bill (90028) and Bumblebee2 (90029) pass8ng through Stafford station on 4S47 1st December 2021
  10. Jack (90036) leading the Blackpool illuminations railtour back to London Euston, Malcolm (90024) DiT at the rear, through Stafford station. 27th November 2021
  11. 90019 (Multimodal) and 90026 (Bumblebee1) passing through Stafford station 8th October 2021
  12. DB Cargo's 90035 returning from MML OLE testing works Thank you to Rachel's partner Shaun for going out to capture this approaching Crewe
  13. This ISNT really about scratch building, yes, there are folks going out and scratch building this and that ... good for them, this is about a fairly standard Multi-track gantry which is common place on the WCML, which folk can simply apply to their layouts at a time when the following locos have flooded the market, Bachmann's 90, Heljan's 86, Accurascales' 92 and Hornby's 87. We can manage to have these new cutting edge locos and hopefully some bold manufacturer will deliver this structure as per what PECO have proposed so far
  14. Nowt, zilch, Zero Not a dicky bird ... or a scooby do .... Bad form Peco .... Especially, when they are sitting on the crown jewels of WCML/ GEML OLE
  15. 90035 wasn't in storage as such. It was reliveried and then went out on testing on the Great Western Electrification project, when done, it came back briefly, before being deployed on the Midland Mainline electrification testing. It recently came back to Crewe, seen here: thank you to @Mini Wistaston junction Rachel's partner Shaun ... for catching this near Crewe ... and is now currently undergoing exams to be returned to the main DB90 pool. 16. 25th November 2021 Having had a recent bit of progress made, it was nice to get to see the layout again so soon and again, some progress made, roll on signage and OLE. The below video covers most of the progress a little running session below:
  17. Maybe cos folk hadn't seen it Although Fran is normally up on these things here, which is great for anyone with some level of interest on this exciting new arrival ... there was a post in the last week or so showing the stay alive functionality so they are posting things to show the development aspects Kat@johnsonstreetIEMD
  18. i used their online form ... and put my email address on that ... so we'll see what happens
  19. Email sent to PECO from their online form on their website Hi PECO, I am trying to find out what is happening in relation to the lovely PECO multi-track Catenary masts you were making sometime ago, but nothing seems to have been updated as far as I am aware since the midlands representative brought a mockup of this into the store mid 2019. Hopefully he was able to relay my concerns that actually the mast was too low in height. With the apparent lack of progress or communication regarding this item, I have since opted for nBrass's brass masts, but i am still interested in the ''proposed PECO offering - it goes without saying that this is a golden opportunity for someone to make a ready to use product for a market place swelled, not only Bachmann's Class 90, but the new Heljan Class 86, Accurascales forthcoming Class 92 as well as the newly tooled Hornby Class 87 as well as all the other EMUs and other previous electric models. Please can you advise Kind Regards Kat
  20. Okay gotcha ... Rainbow railways do a GA 90 but they're a bit more than a standard RRP for a Bachmann 90, although the new ones have gone up about 50 quid :-(
  21. 14th November 2021 After long periods of slow progress due to mostly unforeseen circumstances and possibly other more important things, my layout is heading into the latter stages of completion, with a large thanks to the enthusiasm and craftsmanship of @amertonman. I can really see the later stages of this coming to take shape. Here and now, the hard standing has been improved and now, the buffer stops have gone in with their DCC lit red warning markers. Still to be done (and not exhaustively) are the depot lighting, the scratch build OLE cantilevers for the nBrass gantries for the electric end of the depot, including the holding sidings and head shunt track to the left of this as well as mounting and positioning of the signage and laying the carriageway markers for the road deck going across the depot scene. As an enthusiast of OLE, i can't wait to see this aspect come to life, and it is really going to transform the electric shed end of the layout, currently most easily identified as the area where the three-track shed is positioned. The OLE on the approach here will be in keeping with Crewe IEMD's main shed approach so I am looking at the gantries across that area as well as looking at some of the structures and cantilevers in the Crewe Marshalling yard areas, which vary in their orientation compared to most of the West Coast mainline Overhead Line Equipment (OLE). With Christmas approaching, there is that slim possibility that there could be loco arrivals or even changes at Johnson Street IEMD, watch this space :-) ... having traded in my two 60s and a 67 some time ago, there's a possibility that I may get my hands on one of those again, a Class 08 shunter is also something I would like, not to mention the Accurascales Class 92 and at some point, a Heljan Class 86 (86401) in WCRC Cally sleeper livery - but the 86 and 92 are some way away - Bachmann's latest Class 90 releases don't cater for DB/EWS modellers, something to which I have made a point of saying ''hang on - three in freightliner and not one in DB or EWS - that's not very funny - hopefully, there'll be a Bachmann DB/EWS 90 in the spring releases - come on Bachmann !!!
  22. I have decided that I will be having the Cally sleeper liveried class 86, 86401, as per WCRC ownership.
