  1. I gather so RE the IC Swallow 90s, i know one or two were talking in the feed some time ago about the horn vent being 3D printed to match the ex-GA 90 grille which is slightly different to the original. I am looking forward to the day when a ''Team Red'' 90 is done, just as I would hope for it to be LOL.
  2. Well .. good news folks .. well .. for some .. four new Class 90s have been unveiled by Bachmann today. See 10.14 onwards 90026 in Inter City mainline 90004 in Virgin West Coast 90048 in Freightliner weathered grey 90041 in Freightliner green All are going to be available in DCC sound as well with a new chip for this group. As a modeller of DB Cargo and the associated liveries of Malcolm, Grand Central, Scotrail, EWS, DB Schenker and so on, i am a bit disappointed that Freightliner have three livery representations yet EWS / DB have none. :-( Back to @Squirrel Rail i will go
  3. 4S47 - DB90's - Bumblebee3 (90020) leading Jack (90036) through Stafford station four minutes early on Friday evening (15th October 2021)
  4. 4S47 - DB90's - Bumblebee3 (90020) leading Jack (90036) on this evening's blue box shipment to Mossend Maritime Euroterminal DB Cargo's current active Class 90 pairing of 90020 and 90036 heading through Stafford station on this (14th) cold mid-October evening. 90020, nicknamed "Bumblebee3", the third of three former Grand central liveried Class 90s; 90026 and 90029, 026 the first and 029 the second. The plan was for five DB90s to operate the Grand Central service from Blackpool north to London Euston. This service was abandoned following the emergence of the global pandemic, Covid-19. 90036, nicknamed "Jack", was the first DB Schenker liveried class 90 and was named "Driver Jack Mills" at Crewe station and the naming ceremony was recorded by fellow Youtuber Sim0nTrains. Jack was later de-Schenkered as DB Schenker was changed to DB Cargo. 90029 and 90040 which were also liveried into DBS were also de-Schenkered. Bumblebee3 and Jack have just relieved DB's most hard working Skoda pair Bumblebee1 (90026) and Multimodal (90019). This pairing had just picked up the Malcolm Rail service at Daventry, with the previous pair Multimodal (90019) and Bumblebee1 (90026) having headed home from Mossend along with Christine (90037) light engine.
  5. 4M25 - DB90's - Multimodal leading Bumblebee1 through Stafford station on the upfast - 90019 & 90026
  6. 0Z69 - DB90's - Team Red Skoda 90035 brought back to Crewe IEMD, from Rectory Junction - BIG thank you Shaun @ Mini Wistaston Junction on Youtube
  7. 4S47 - DB90's - Bumblebee1 (90026) leading Multimodal (90019) out of Stafford station
  8. 4S47 - DB90's - Bumblebee1 leading Multimodal into the UDL @Stafford station - it had 2 be today :-) In what can only be described as an unusual occurence, but maybe one which was set in the stars, or would appear to have been set in the stars, a nice pleasant evening in Stafford, in early October, the DB Cargo Class 90s, Bumblebee1 (90026) and Multimodal (90019) operating on 4S47 dragged into the UDL at P7 to allow for being clear of 1Z81 heading along the upslow approaching Stafford from the north, WCRC 57s on a railtour - the DB90s came in for a rare opportunity to be captured by me. It has been an unusual day but a truly brilliant one all along, and makes up for missing Malcolm and Backbone on 0K06 last night. I have never been so grateful to see a Class 57 before as I have tonight. Whilst its unusual to see 4S47 held here, its not unusual to see a DB90 or even a 90 here, some examples of this class being seen here previously are: Christine (90037), Bumblebee1 (90026) and 2 (90029) (arriving to get out of the way of 4S47) Christine, Bumblebee1 and 2 (allowing Jack (90036) and Multimodal (90019), on 4S47, to get out of the way) Freightliner's newly reliveried Class 90, 90003 on its way back to Crewe Basford Hall from Wolverton paintshop
  9. Must have gotten lost or been part of a convoy ... Skywalker, L, Ep4
  10. interesting that DB have been quoted as saying they arent going to change theirs, amusingly, when in sad reality, how many UK wide electric-hauled freight services do they deliver ? two a day ? as opposed to Freightliners eight, ten or it might even be more Kat :-(

  13. Whilst I am not planning to buy a Heljan Class 86 for the foreseeable future, I am really impressed with the latest release from a visual point of view. My only real observation is that it's maybe a bit of a shame that the panto isnt servo operated like the Bachmann 90 and the Accurascales 92, yet still the same price virtually.
  14. DB Cargo Class 90035 returning to Crewe from Rectory Junction, having finished its sabatical on the DATS Midland Mainline Electrification testing project, seen here Barthomew Junction, with DB pool mates Class 67005 and 67025.
  15. 4S47 getting on its way to Mossend Maritime Euroterminal 7th October 2021 Malcolm Rail service - from Daventry DIRFT to Mossend - comprising of DB Cargo Class 90 duo of 90026 and 90019 or as I call them, Bumblebee1 and Multimodal
  16. 17. Thank you @AY Mod - It's a great day for me, to have this done, 90035 is back at Crewe IEMD and my beloved football team Newcastle United being taken over ..
  18. Hi Andy, Would it be possible to change my username from DBC90024 to Johnson Street IEMD ? Kind Regards Kat
  19. Things may have changed, but there are still a good number of stations to see alot of freight movements ... Crewe is still really good, again, it depends on where and when you go - and the same could be said for Stafford where there are no avoiders (aside from the Macclesfield line to Rugeley line via Hixon) When i was out the other day, Wednesday, i saw at different points of the day FL90s on 4M45 Royal Scot Steam DB60 on DCR working DB90s on 4M25 DRS 88 on 4S44 Colas 70s x3 DB90 and DB92 on 0A06 WCR 47s x2 FL90s on 4L90 FL90s on 4M87 Pride on 4L60 DB90s on 4S47 DB90 on 0K06 And thats not including several 66s i didnt stay to see or document, a couple more 88s and the sleeper 92 Yes, it isnt as diverse as it used to be, but thats not bad Kat :-)
  20. the thing is @woodenhead and @JeffP if you love UK traction and WCML traction in particular, you are going to hanker for that and that alone - for me - i have little time for the stuff in america ... i find the american stuff rather amusing ... the notion of a train stopping a city for three hours whilst it passes by is really quite farcical .. never mind their progress with HSR ...
  21. Crewe Cam 2 has been upgraded ... and we were given Cam 5 for a while i undersand for free ... Personally i preferred Cam5 as i got to see the movements out of Crewe IEMD so i could go and catch them just down the line ...
  22. And thats why most, if not all of my videos have a good degree of background into what you either see or read .. so, there's some abbreviations and nicknames ... those are all explained in the description content below ... and thats for anyone to view and look at ... and none of it is complicated ... its just my take .. and i will often refer to a loco with its nick and its running number as well ... and all this ties nicely in to the broad range of ages and interests ... you like the first generation electrics, i appreciate them but i am not avid follower of the history of them Kat :-)
  23. there are times when there's nothing to see there of course, the week day evenings are the best times ... weekends are quiet there for the most part ... its probably busiest in the lead up to the Caledonian Sleeper coming in to the station ... it used to be better with Camera 5 as it was positioned by the entrance to the Chester line but showing the northern part of the station as well ... DB use this for access to Crewe IEMD as well as other operators using the UDL and Platform 12 for steam trains, railtours, occasional freight movements etc NB - In the interests of those reading this - wanting to see what we are talking about simply go to youtube.com and put in Crewe Camera 2, Cheshire UK ... and you will get to see what we're discussing - this is a live feed from Crewe station with a free to access chatroom (i'd share the link but i might get into mischief)
  24. Ultimately, its each to their own .. one can embrace this or not ... with regards to those classes, they were before my time, we were chatting on Rachel Cope's mini-Wistaston Junction youtube channel where several hundred people were contributing and some of these nicknames came to light ...
