  1. Everyone now on board, panto sorted ... about ready to depart, just need a green light now ... can i have a G ... G ... can I have an R ... R .... can i have an E ... E .... lol ...
  2. GBRf 92032 getting ready to take the GBRf Charity railtours train north to Mossend - just needs to get its panto sorted now ...
  3. GBRf's 92032 taking over from LSL 86101 on GBRf'S Charity 2021 railtour
  4. LSL 86101 about to pass over the Baton for the next leg of the railtour to ......
  5. LSL 86101 on the Acton Sidings to Crewe leg of the GBRf Charity railtour 2021
  6. Soooo, in the early hours of this morning (Saturday 4th September), GBRf's recently back in service 92032, in the newer GBRf livery, as opposed to the Europorte livery was out taking part in GBRf's 2021 mega four day railtour seeing all sorts of traction being used, 66s, 73s, 86s, 91s, 92s ... seen here ... was the 92 (032) taking over from LSL's 86101 which had ran from Acton Sidings to Crewe via Birmingham New Street, Cannock and out onto Rugeley Trent Valley and up to Crewe, at Crewe, 86101 was relieved and 92032 picked up the baton, seen below: to take the train north as far as Mossend ... There'll be more footage of this event including the 86 on my channel - which you can access through the below link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnJHJwwBox-EvXPPExBDvlA or on the ''Photos AC electrics'' pictures and videos forum on here as below Soooooo ... ultimately, you dont need mk3 or mk5 sleeper carriage stock, car transporter STVAs or even intermodals to have a Class 92 on your layout, it could be a railtours working :-) Kat@johnsonstreetIEMD :-)
  7. 1st September 2021 September, that spiffingly super month - and the electric depot now has its hardstanding sorted, following on from the work to do a similar thing at the Long Term maintenance shed. Thank you @amertonmanfor the speedy progress - expertly modelled by Multimodal, Armistice and Shed 65.
  8. 31st August 2021 The man in charge of bringing Johnson Street IEMD to life is making tracks on the later parts of the project and having undertaken an exercise in testing all of the points and their respective motors - he's now laid the hard standing between the tracks on the Long Term repair shed before undertaking a similar exercise on what will be the electric depot. Voila !!!
  9. Hi Fran @Accurascale Fran, Thanks for the reply, yes, i love 90s but i love other electrics too, and with a bias to DB's ones: i'll probably end up opting for a Three Beasties 92 to be fair, and get weathered like one of these two leviathons: Needless to say, I am really looking forward to seeing your 92 arrive Kind Regards Kat
  10. I wasnt ... i just asked the question, would they be ? and referred to examples of different running numbers ... but Q3 2022 is a bit away, of course ... hopefully, they will be ... and they're offering a good level of variety on launch. As for comparing it to the Bachmann 90, i did ... so what ... i'm an electric loco enthusiast with a bias to the 90, of course, but i like other electrics as well, the 92 being high on my list along with the 86 and 87. As for whether the Bachmann 90 is better or not, if the Accurascales 92 is better, then great, that will be good news for everyone who buys one, including me, when i get my EWS three beasties 92XXX and the DB YIWU one, 92015. Kat@johnsonstreetIEMD
  11. Hi @Accurascale Fran, will you be doing a second wave of releases of the 92, different numbers etc (ie DB/EWS 2019, GBRf 92043 etc etc) ? I am in the final stages of my layout build and short of robbing Peter to pay Fran - i am probably going to be waiting a little while :-) Kat :-)
  12. You dont need such a thing, just take an HV-fueled 66 at one end ... your freight / aggregrate tower in the middle terminating OLE at the entrance to the facility, with a DB90 or two primed and the mile or so back to the mainline under the knitting Kat@johnsonstreetIEMD
  13. Opinions of course, and hey, I am going to have an Accurascales Class 92, for sure, still not sure which livery, one of the below, for sure: DB YIWU 92015 GBRf Europorte 92032 EWS Grey Beasties 92036 Cally Sleeper 92010 but hey, the Bachmann Class 90 is on the market and in people's homes - the Accurascales Class 92 is not ... and when it is ... yes its going to be impressing folk up and down the land ... is it better you say yes, i say ... certainly re the panto ... it looks pretty much the same - they were going to deliver something greater - they couldnt do so - and had to settle for Bachmann 90 standards for the panto rise and fall method - It's good that they had the decency to come back to the market place and say so, fair play ... it'll be interesting to see whether there is any noise to the servo panto rise and fall ... and also the overall end result - which I like many are keenly watching out for :-) Kat :-)
  14. hmmmm ... IMEO its more on par with the current pace setter in the market place, that of Bachmann's Class 90 ... but to be there, is good stuff indeed ... and certainly puts this a long way above the Hornby Class 87 and also the Heljan Class 86. lets hope it doesn't have any of the teething issues of the Bachmann Class 90 Kat@johnsonstreetIEMD
  15. 22nd August 2021 Having recently changed to a new project manager who has the time and know how to complete the project. The layout has also been moved nearer to its eventual position and as part of preliminary inspections, the layout wiring has been adjusted and is all now working as it was originally plumbed in - thank you @amertonman. @amertonman has also been tasked with harnassing the third of my DCC sound chips for a Class 66 to a recent acquisition, Bachmann's most recent DB Cargo Class 66, 66100 Armistice, having already done so with rebranded DBS 66s, creating red 66009 and 66065. The previously seen Class 60s, DBC 60100 and DBS 60007 and the Class 67, 67028 have been culled to grow my Bachmann DB90 pool, having now got to seven, with four now DCC sound fitted. The project as it is has the following still to do: 1 Concrete Hardstanding areas completed between the tracks - and outside both the electric shed and long term maintenance shed 2 Backscene mounted for the full eight foot 3 lighting inserted into the buildings (main shed, staffroom facilities, regional office and portacabin) 4 Assembly of the nBrass Multitrack gantries, applicable cantilevers along with the PECO catenary masts and the wires 5 Any other remaining things which come to light This evening Barbie got to see her new home alongside Multimodal and two red sheds, 66065 and 66100 Kat@johnsonstreetIEMD
  16. Which one did you have in mind? @TomScrut 90017, 90023, 90030, 90031 or 90032 ??? I'd have been happy with 90030 Kat :-)
  17. I will definitely be having one - probably Team Red's YIWU Dyson and its certainly looking great - well done @Accurascale Fran and there will definitely be one or two at Johnson Street IEMD, rubbing shoulders with Jack, Bill, Malcolm and co. Kat@johnsonstreetIEMD :-)
  18. Its an interesting one .. @The Black Hat of the three launch 90s .. yes Powerhaul and IC Swallow are current, albeit cos of LSL .. yet despite this .. RfD and Powerhaul are both stated as available by Bachmann and widely available.. IMHO there's nothing to indicate that RfD is or more popular than Powerhaul.. i imagine for the Era8-9ers that rfd gets the vote.. for the 10-11ers like me Powerhaul gets the vote... Kat :-)
  19. This is going to be some revelation, you guys should take some to Chester's Making tracks event or GETS and show them off in their natural habitat a la ...
  20. Multimodal (90019) leading Bumblebee1 (90026) through Stafford about six minutes early..
  21. Getting back to what i do love 4M87 - Felixstowe to Trafford park 90s 012 and 005 virtually on time through Stafford station this evening
  22. I had read that the 83 i think it was literally spent more time not running than running and i think the 84 had a similar fate - i am pretty sure there is more about this further up in the feed. Its not my area of primary interest so i am happy to be wrong on this matter either way kind Regards, kat
  23. What I find strange about it is that it didnt appear to actually run much ... bit of a waste of time ... why make it, especially when they already had early 80s that also didnt work much, of the 81, 82, 83, 84, at leasdt two of the class I understand to have barely worked - it seems like that with this and some of the others just mentioned, that BR was trying to find a winning combination.
