  6. All ready for passenger services again. I will be adding a canopy to the end of the new platform area. I have started on the girders. Hopefully it will be similar to the canopy on platform 1 .
  7. Card mock up of the new platform area, whilst the station front gets demolished. Ouch ! New platform in place with replacement building taking shape.
  8. When I started building Drabford in 2017 my DCC stock was limited to a few DMUs and a few locos, so the single platform was sufficient, but as the stock collection has grown changing the layout to accommodate more stock has been happening over the past few months. So changing the single sided parcels platform into a passenger platform meant adding a point and the disused area now put into use.
  9. Not been on RMweb for a while and, Oh no all Drabford pictures have gone ☹️ So here is one of some BR Blue locos stabled at Drabford.
  10. A busy evening at Drabford.
  11. I decided to make a few alterations to Drabford station area. This picture shows how it looked with the disused platform side on the left and severed point. I have decided to install a new point which will add an extra siding, maybe for a station pilot loco or for leaving a few vans etc in. I’m not going to put the left platform into use yet, but this alteration may be the beginning of a future extension plan I have in mind. The idea is to add another board to this end of the layout in the picture below. Keeping the left track still as a kick back siding, but the right track as a single through line to a small traverser or hidden sidings. If this plan goes ahead then I will put the platform with the new point added into use for passenger trains. So back to the current alterations, here’s a few pictures of the alterations. Trackwork tested and rail sides painted today. Hope to get it ballasted tomorrow. Cheers Shaun.
  12. I can sleep again now lol, I was wondering which items of freight stock was offending but yes rule 2 probably will have to be used with those 3 vans for a while longer. Here’s another look , or maybe look away

  20. Board joins are always difficult to hide especially on areas like roads. So for a while I’ve been looking at ways to hide it, but I was not happy with just placing a bus over the join. So a friend suggested why not have a zebra crossing, so a quick search on a well known site for some Balisha beacons and a few days later and here we have a Zebra crossing. The beacons flash independent.
  21. Street lamps fitted and painted. Looks like the local “Skins” have been marking their territory.
  22. A few night shots from last nights running session. New Street lamps have been added to the high street and can be seen in distance. 47 on mail duty’s.
