  1. Q5, there appears to be two subs there.
  2. This morning at my local KJ's IGA, the tp shelves and hand sanitizer shelves were quite full.
  3. Reminds me of raincoats sold here in the sates years ago (may still be, I do not know and am to lazy to find out!!).
  4. I used to get calls about my car's EXTENDED WARRANTY (always highly emphasized, btw); I usually just set the phone down and let her (always a female voice) bloviate away.
  5. Hmmm, and here I thought that you were referring to LIONEL!
  6. Odd, the stacks on the 1951 photo seem to be covered; is she laid up?
  7. A rousing late good morning owl from a rather brisk but SUNNY! Piedmont. This morning was spent taking my trash to the "convenience center"*, having breakfast at KJ's, and doing laundry at the laundromat. What a morning. Now time to enjoy ER. *why is it called a "convenience center" when I have to go there on my dime?
  8. Good night owl from the Piedmont.
  9. Hmmm, I thought that it was "Wind up the cat and put out the clock."!
  10. Saturday night around 2000 or 2030, the tv was turned to the Welk show; Grandmother's orders! No exceptions, either.
  11. From reading the above comments about the show, I was probably wrong; it lasted forty+plus years. Depending on what songs were used, I actually might have liked it.
  12. One time I was watching an auction that I had set a snipe on; when the auction ended and the "You won" flashed up, I immediately hit the "pay now" button, paid with PayPal, and got the "paid" screen. I then went to my email and the "thank you for your payment" email was time-stamped before the "you won" and "please pay" emails were sent. This was on ebay.usa.
  13. Something tells me that I am glad that I do not know what you are referring to!
  14. A late good night (early good morning?) owl from the Piedmont.
  15. Hmmm, no 100-car grain trains for you, then! Nice work on J Aspdin BTW.
  16. Sorry to hear that. I had to have my cat put down a few years ago and still miss him. I since rescued Wingnut from a county shelter: Now off to Crossroads at church.
  17. First, a rare early Good Morning owl from a relatively wet Piedmont. Second, what would the result be if the reading was 0.9999967V?
  18. It was a busy day with a western omelette at Gene"s for lunch and a lot of running around getting some bills paid. I did not have too much time for posting but did enjoy the ones about British pubs; kind of reminded me of the old neighborhood bars over here. Also had a few minutes for completing a little muddling ( my modeling is definitely muddling!!! ) this afternoon after returning from my endeavors. The first in a few months! Anyway good night owl from the Piedmont.
  19. That reminded me of one of our 1997 New Flyers: I have no idea as to why the yellow band is missing on the rear quarter but 9735 is parked on the ready line.
  20. Good night owl from the Piedmont.
  21. Actually, I think that it is a rhino, note the horns.
  22. I had heard the the phrase "Full Monty (or maybe Monti)" used in reference to something in a card game, although I do not remember which game.
  23. The final line "You will hardly see a lot like this come up so" is so true!
  24. When I was in the Navy and later working for the Feds, we said " When the Eagle s....". And the Bell Telphone System was referred to as "Ma Bell".
  25. That looks "Photoshopped" to me.
