I saw some for the first time in my local Walmart the other day. Note that I rarely look in the wine aisle, so it may have been there for a while. Glass is not recycled here, it just goes to the landfill. The recycling company stopped accepting glass as they claimed that they were losing money on it.

Looks like a Weaver tank drive. Note that if that is the newer CLW motor, it should have a skewed armature; that allows for smoother low-speed operation because of less cogging of the armature.
