  1. MB bang seat = Martin-Baker ejection seat?
  2. Odd that the center-cab design never made it here, just some small critters mostly used in industrial switching; an example would be the GE 44 tonner.
  3. All of the cars are Continental; SNCF, DB, & at least one Swiss car (SBB?), so an LMS freighter would fit right in Here are two samples: They were being used as a backdrop for the insulator photo session. As I recall, I think that the Grill car should have a pan on it to power the kitchen equipment; maybe one day.
  4. Just think of the person that has to open that package!
  5. Hmmm, not from ebay but I recently bought (in a Livonia, GA USA antique mall of all places) a LIMA O scale LMS 0-6-0 road number 4547 for the whopping sum of $15.00. I suspect that I will be happy with it as I have a cut of about ten LIMA European passenger cars. It will not look too out-of-place among the PRR steamers!
  6. Happy New Year from the Piedmont. It turned out to quite quiet last night, not like being somewhere in the Mekong Delta. Oh well, hopefully this year will be as good as or better than the last one for all here.
  7. A happy New Year to all. On the Northbound Silver Star at Jacksonville, FL New Year's Day 2006, we find a pair of thirsty Amtrak motors receiving a needed transfusion: I was occupying the left-hand Viewliner sleeper:
  8. "Continental"? Hmmm, some "over here" might think the same thing.
  9. For me there was no stress, all the vittles were tossed in crock pot and, viola! eight hours (or so on low) there was Christmas diner ready and waiting. No muss, no fuss!
  10. Lionel in three-rail does have an O gauge giraffe car, it may even have smoke and sound although I do not know where the smoke exits the car.
Merry Christmas to all y'all from the Piedmont.
  12. "GOOD CONDITION TENDER BUFFERS DAMAGED SOME WHITE SPOTS OF PAINT ON TOP OF THE BODY" Good condition with broken tender buffers??????????
  13. Good morning from a very wet Piedmont.
  14. It looks like about £11 or so per item. From this side of the deep puddle it does not look so bad; but then I do not know the real value of the items listed.
  15. After spending the better part of nine or so months staring at the sea from the flight deck of the Kitty Hawk, I really now get much more pleasure staring at the land around me!
  16. It looks like a 30° crossing with an illustrated parts breakdown of the replaceable parts shown in their respective locations. The parts shown look like guard rails, note the angled approaches to guide the flange into the flangeway.
  17. You should see mine; er, on second thought ..............................................
