  2. As per 'News and Events' on 73082 Camelot Locomotive Society, Standard Class Five No 73156 is due to visit from the Great Central Railway for Giants of Steam in October.
  3. Sounds like a variation of Schrödinger's cat, but in this instance, you would have the comfort of knowing that they're 'as they should be'!
  4. Thank you, John - appreciate the suggestion (and yes, will resort to some 'proper' modelling should the need arise)!
  5. Would be grateful if anyone can assist with the following spares for the Hattons P Class: - - Front iron (nearside) x1 - Large step x1 - Rear iron x1 Understandably not part of the standard accessories pack and Hattons have since confirmed they no longer hold P Class spares! Many thanks.
  6. For the record, Hattons confirmed this week that they "no longer have any P class spares available" (as was seeking a couple of replacement lamp irons and steps).
  7. If I've read this correctly, it's worth noting that 940009 No 30004 is 'as preserved' - as per @Graham_Muz's overview, it is modelled with freighter breaks, however the Bluebell Railway discovered that the original No 30004 was built with the Morton-type - as the PBA kept no record of the original numbers, a "suitable" number was chosen after purchase from Bristol in 1980...
  8. Once again, MODELU has 15% off all products this bank holiday weekend: - https://mailchi.mp/modelu3d/june-2022?e=aecfad16d5

  10. MODELU has 15% off all products this bank holiday weekend: - https://mailchi.mp/modelu3d/may-day-22?e=aecfad16d5
  11. I think one of our resident Southern experts may have accidentally jumped the gun with the announcement... 🙈
  12. I can only echo all of the above, a really great show - thank you to all involved. As @Invicta Informant suggests, it did feel that the footfall was comparable to previous (especially at the time of my visit, just after opening). On a separate note - would anyone be able to provide a contact detail for Harvey Hobbies (#38), please? Unfortunately no further info in the show guide and have been unable to locate them online...
  13. For a "limited time" the entire range is currently reduced to £27.95 each: - https://us4.campaign-archive.com/?u=2647f1b386f7ba8c60ce37a0a&id=99549776a7 https://railsofsheffield.com/collections/iron-mink-vans
  14. Seconded. At the risk of topic drift, the Dapol variant just edges it for me on looks - think it captures the 'character' better? Not a very scientific conclusion, I know...
  15. I use a similar tool on Adobe Lightroom - time consuming, but worth the effort - as demonstrated by your 'before and after'... Hairs are the worst to edit, especially when a strand appears infront of both light and dark backgrounds! Each to their own though - some layouts appear in print which would really benefit from at least a good dust down before!
  16. I wasn't sure it worth starting a new topic for something which could likely be quickly answered! Would anyone be able to confirm that 37-937 is of Diagram 1927, please? HMRS has an image of the original: - https://hmrs.org.uk/-aas318--12t-3-plank-dropside-open-lms-471405--lms---ex-works--order--1042-.html To my eyes, the Bluebell Railway's 474588 is the same type (hence suggesting Diagram 1927): - https://www.bluebell-railway.co.uk/bluebell/pics/474558.html
  17. The late John le Carré missed an open goal concentrating on spies, he really should have been focusing on those behind model railways...
  18. Now where would the fun be in that? Here's to five-hundred more...
  19. One of those trainspotters must have been very well informed to be in the right place at the right time...
  20. For me, certainly one of the best 'ready to run' items available... In hindsight, wish I'd also pre-ordered SB003F (S54663 on the Bluebell) - one of three now sold-out.
