  1. Not taking orders yet !!!!! don't panic.
  2. The Realtrack Class 142 is not being made in the same factory as the above EFE Class 144/143, this factory sadly had been stung with the DJ Models collapse, thus you see the DJ models range re-introduction under new branding, as they needed to get some re-compense for monies owed, the Cornish link is with the same factory too. Realtrack made a consiouse decision 5 years ago to 'jump ship' with them due to similar issues with North American models being touted about in the United States, some were for valid financial reasons but others sadly not. The Realtrack plan is to offer an advanced model of the 142, 143, 144 meeting todays high standards in quality and with digital inovations to a high specification with the assistance of one of the new inovators in the UK market today. We have been so impressed with there profesionalism, attitude and sheer determination to 'Get it right' that this was a no brainer decision on our part. Looking back at the New ranges introduced from them in the last 18 months we know our decision is 100% justified, sadly the covid situation and Chinese government restrictions added two + years to our plans. Arran & Charlie Its sad in away that old designs are basically re-introduced with new 'tweeks' and higher prices, but we are where we are, looking to the future we hope all new models in the UK will well researched and of high quality, as we all should encourage this. As without 'New Blood' the hobby will decline. Charlie

  4. Until we see a EFE Model, who can tell. What I do know is that the original tooling and Cad drawings are in the same factory as the EFE model is coming from. We have been assured its not our tooling, but no comments re CAD drawings, its obvious to us that project is based on 'similar' info to ours as it has some of our 'deliberate' errors on it, but it has modifications and alterations too make it subtly different. We first heard of this development over 3 years ago along with lots of other things, some have come out as EFE releases and some have not. When I see one, I will know. Its a shame the model has no improvements from our 9 year old model apart from a Next 18 decoder, pre-fitted speaker and possibly a revised chassis and 3 pole motor. If this can be sold at £212.50, why cannot other two car models be a similar price. ??? Charlie
  5. In Leeds station the otherday I wandered up to the Mk5 DT, and sadly it actually made noises, you had the obvious, Door bleepers and closing noises, Guard to Driver and his reply buzzer, The Train Air brake release and on leaving a two tone horn. Of course the 68 sound really good but the actual train does make noises.
  6. It Won't be long !!! Might sound a bit silly 'BUT' you have to get the actual model first, unless your crystal ball will tell us how its set up, as guessing means !!!!!!!! Very Soon.
  7. We were asked yesterday, 'Does your decoder work Dapol's Smoke unit in the New Class 59' Answer is: It works it exactly as Dapol have designed it to work' quick movie on our workbench' https://www.facebook.com/messenger_media/?attachment_id=564669329172134&message_id=mid.%24cAABa8-83WkqMFqAAO2F5Vprhs66W&thread_id=1040916006 And before you all ask !!!! Its not a 'Borrowed SD90' off of the ESU free downloads, or a Class 66 asrs some outs there are. It a Legomanbiffo qualits Class 59 recorded 'officially' with permission at Merehead depot, light and under load. It is very good: HONEST!! Check out the price too. https://www.dckits-devideos.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=68&product_id=261
  8. So are the Pre Orders, running low as over 75% sold on one of them. Bit of a shame the Chinese could not ship for Glasgow, they said they would try !!!!! We await their predicted reply:
  9. For some unexplained reason LEGOMANBIFFO-DCKits are down as 'Mr Soundguy' !!!!! I could accept 'Mr Gobby' but not Mr SG. See you there: Charlie & Richard.
  10. The CV63 Increases 'Every Sound' all you need is to increase the Engine Sounds, ALL these are listed on the DCKits-Legomanbiffo Website, along with every other seperate sound, so some like the horns, doors, Whistle can be reduced and say flange squeel increased. BUT never have CV63 on Full and the others on Full. Re the comments on a Single EM1, its only 1/2Watt and the decoder pumps out 2 Watt's + so like your motor in the loco, it will run on 24V DC or 12V DC. Which do you think will make the motor last longer ????? PPS The Legomanbiffo was recorded at Merehead from a 'Real' Class 59, sadly most of the others out there are Free Files from the ESU Website of SD40 (Class 66) or just a Class 66. SEE: https://www.dckits-devideos.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=68&product_id=261
  11. Here is an idea on the Legomanbiffo sounds and features:
  12. Love the A3 in TT near the end, what was banking it !!!
  13. In all me dealings they have been very good. Charlie
  14. The Dapol 73 needs the Non Conductive oil/grease cleaning off the bearings and replacing with conductive oil or grease, then they run OK. SEE: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/144546737402?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=144546737402&targetid=1405062617979&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9046326&poi=&campaignid=17218284410&mkgroupid=142217514411&rlsatarget=pla-1405062617979&abcId=9300867&merchantid=118935604&gclid=EAIaIQobChMItvWutOnA_AIVh8vtCh0D7A-MEAQYCCABEgKHf_D_BwE Charlie (Legomanbiffo-dc kits)
  15. Simple solution is to fit two better speakers, we did and they were far louder. See: https://www.dckits-devideos.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=223_75&product_id=379 This will be better, just done a Class 108 with 3 Speakers, ITS LOUD !!! Charlie
  16. These would be fare louder and clearer, making the motor sound less obvious. Charlie
  17. Depending which version of the Dapol Class 73 (As there are 3 different circuit boards in them doing different things) you 'might' be lucky and get the lights working, not 100% sure though. I am quite certain the Hornby decoder will have the same issues, as the Dapil 73's are a nightmare!!! The other option is to re-blow your decoder (8Pin) to somthing else and get a 73 Decoder to suit the exact version Dapol 73 Version. Charlie (Legomanbiffo-dc kits)
  18. A quick snap of a Northern 156 !!!
  19. The Legomanbiffo all New Classs 59 Dapol Project ia available now !!!: Yes these currenly flying out, but we have plenty of stock here, so they can be ordered at the Introductory price + Speaker from: https://www.dckits-devideos.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=68&product_id=261
  20. Production Sample running on test, as per the website, '1st Quarter 2023'
  21. A Realtrack models Strathclyde Unit seen on a Glasgow - Stranraer service as delivered without the 'Ploughs', this is the Dutch Celebrity that visited Holland during the summer of 1989 and was on display at the Dutch Railways 'NS 150' celebrations, it went to Holland under its own power. Thus in the Left Hand blind it has the NL sticker, this is still present today when in Saltire Livery.
  22. Yes it is, plenty of room in there. Charlie
