  1. Been waiting for the district nurse to come. She has dressed my leg and checked the circulation thats ok in both legs. There still swollen been measured for some compression stockings sound fetching just the thing for a Saturday night.
  2. Its like trying to say well oiled and beef hooked in the same sentance See you at feck hall wearing the fox hat
  3. When I was at uni someone left a unopened tin of beans on the ring of a baby belling in the kitchen of one of the halls floors. Shock and awe comes to mind the ring was being out of shape and the kitchen covered in beans
  4. Watched a War film called "The Key" the other day made in 1958 at the end the tug captain tries to catch the girl at the station. The camera pans past the loco which is Rood AshtonHall you can see the patch of paint on the tender where the British Railways has been painted over
  5. Oops stencil back to front I assume some with stencil and spray paint or brush. When I worked for the Council we had to do them for pick up and pay up dog fouling signs for dogs that can read. They sent us out with spray paint that made more mess and cost more.than a load of cheap brushes and a tin of white emulsion. The spray paint didn't last but trust me trying to shift white emulsion off a street it sticks like sh#t to a proverbial blanket.
  6. I thought it was somewhere round there it's not too far from where I live. My Grandparents used to take me and my bruv shopping there sometimes from the little village they lived in
  7. Wasn't it Askern or somewhere equally unimportant where they eventually ran out of cash
  8. Just finished wrestling with a fray bentos pie tin for the last 45minutes for the eldests tea Swmbo had been trying longer at least i didnt have to break out the heavy cutting gear.
  9. Sheffield midland for me having used it many times
  10. There is a new estate near us that was told not to eat any thing grown in the soil there. Indeed our street is on the site of the old gas works any veg is grown in tubs
  11. That sounds as much fun as watching block paving disappear up the suction box of a mechanical sweeper ( thatis the sort that is built on a lorry) Mentioning of modern architecture the fuhrerbunker (hepworth gallery) reopens on the 1st
  12. Can i go for Bristol Temple Meads been through and changed trains there several times during the 90s
  13. Roysville now that brings back memories when i was a transport manager we had a customer that supplied their garden centre. I soon learnt that Wroxham was a one horse town Roys even owned the Mc Donalds. In my last job with the council cleansing department or Streetscene as they call it i had to do ladder training . What ladder did i have to climb in my job none just on to a foldout step on the back of a pavement sweeper to check in the hopper for enough water and to see if it was full. Rained off from attacking the pyrocanthus but i have sharpened and lubricated the tools. Now watching a rather nice young lady on antiques road trip
  14. Today I had planned to cut the pyrocanthus hedge back a bit but it has been a bit blustery so I decided it was safer to leave it alone i don't fancy losing an eye along with my other problems. Hope for a better day tomorrow, to pass a bit of time watched a you tube vid on ghosts on the underground, quite interesting
  15. I had a similar problem with ours it turned out the washer that is under the gubbins between it and the hole where the flush water goes had perished. It was only a couple of quid from plumb center to fix i dont usually like touching plumbing
  16. And other things too and they wonder why corona virus originated in China allegedly
  17. Although its each to their own with regards to rivet counting and the like its the devilment in me that loves winding them up.
  18. East Croydon for the memories of a girlfriend i used to visit who lived in Croydon we met at uni. She lived not fsr from selhurst depot.
  19. Its like that fella Bill Posters must be a 1 man crime wave. I dont know what he has done but i have seen signs all over the country saying he will be prosecuted. What ever happened to the presumption of innocence.
  20. I suppose the Nhs are used to single use PPE due to cross contamination reduction. Even though they have access to autoclaves and other sterilization methods.
  21. Its still dry here in our part of West Yorkshire (Pontefract) though it siled it down last night. Im still stuck inside self shielding till Aug 1st. To those posting above i hope their loved ones are ok.
