  1. Andy these are really impressive, 3D printing is definitely the way forward.
  2. Adam I really like your coal stage diorama, the signage and weathering looks really nice. Thanks for sharing.
  3. Thanks faded_Glory for the kind comments, thanks to everyone for all the likes.
  4. Hi today I have concentrated on weathering and building another doorway to the yard store shed. I’m really happy with the result. I have also made some concrete steps which will be added to the shed once in situ. As always a few pictures of my progress.
  5. Hi this morning I have done some work on the diorama, the kitchen roll soaked in PVA has been added to the embankment area. The yard store shed is coming along nicely, the main colour and wood edging has been painted. The roof, guttering and drain pipes are still to paint. This I will do tomorrow as I’m on nights tonight. A few pictures of my progress.
  6. Yes I left them on as I do plan to join to another diorama in the future. Thanks for the kind comments.
  7. Very childish, playground antics. Hopefully the race will be better.
  8. The mock-up of your box layout looks great, it’s best I think to do mock-ups so you know if it’s going to look right and if not things can be altered. Look forward to seeing more of your work.
  9. Hi Manicouagan thanks for the kind comments, like I mentioned I’m in no rush as I want this to look just right.
  10. Finally made a start today, building the scale model scenery baseboard and cutting the backboard to the height I want. I do like these little diorama baseboards. I have laid the track and built my yard store shed. I have tested where I want the shed which looks great. The supports I have glued in place to start building the embankment behind the shed. loads to do but no rush.
  11. Paul this is a great little layout, I really like dock yard railways and your layout has been nicely modelled.
  12. Marlyn thanks for the kind comments, this size diorama is what I like to model on. I have had a few flops when it comes to modelling locations. This one I have thoroughly done my homework on like my other diorama A Place to watch trains. I hope to start building the baseboard tomorrow.
  13. It’s amazing what can be achieved in such a small space, plus you have the added bonus of protecting your layout.
  14. Absolutely brilliant, military themed layout built within an ammo box.
  15. Alex your little peckett engines with 3D printed items looks great. This layout is brilliant, very inspirational.
  16. Thanks Jerry for your kind comments unfortunately I missed the post so will start building the baseboard once I collect it from the sorting depot.
  17. Hi your work on this layout is fantastic, the attention to the tiniest detail is great.
  18. Thank you Marlyn for the likes. I will receive the diorama board tomorrow so at least I can start to glue it together and make the backboard the desired height for the embankment which will run the whole length of the back.
  19. This is a new build I am planning after a few failed starts with other layouts. This diorama will have a goods theme to it, with an embankment at the back of the diorama. The items I will be using are: Model scale scenery 200x200 diorama board, Peco setrack, Wills timber built yard store, 5 Plank wagon, fencing, ballast, static grass, shrubs, bushes and a few wild flowers. I have made a mock-up of diorama.
  20. Hi Andy like Marlyn has mentioned full of colour and activity and most of all fun.
