  1. Like everything else nowadays, these locos are produced in batches, and we would appear to be between batches at the moment. However, they have also appeared under the Jouef Junior label, so it may be worth looking out for those as well as looking under Electrotren.
  2. I can't answer part B, because I know nothing about the Yeovil area, but I might be able help with part A. Fruit D & Siphon G lasted into at least the 1960's in general traffic, and even into the 1980's in departmental use. Some of Paul Bartlett's photos here Fruit D Siphon G
  3. BR Toad E brake van is back in stock again. https://uk.Hornby.com/products/br-dia064-toad-e-brake-van-era-4-tt6012
  4. It is. Colas haul it as far as the exchange sidings, then Ribble Rail haul the tanks to/from the bitumen plant.
  5. I suppose that depends on how large a quantity you want, but H&A Models https://www.hamodels.net/wheels-bearings-back-to-back-gauges-reamer-cutting-tool.html always seem to have a good stock of Gibson wheels whenever I have seen them at Stafford Show. Might be worth giving them a call.
  6. Aston Martin DB3S/5 more info here https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_131723-Aston-Martin-DB3S-DB3S-5-1954.html
  7. Although operated by the Midland Railway, it wasn't built by them, it was built by the Yorkshire Dales Railway. http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/g/grassington_threshfield/index.shtml I don't think there are any kits of that type of station building. The Midland signal box is probably a later addition. I seem to remember seeing a TV program on the Settle & Carlisle line that suggested things like doors & window frames were to a standard pattern designed at Derby, but as far as I know they didn't have prefab station buildings.
  8. That's Garstang Town station, see also Railscot https://www.railscot.co.uk/img/61/91/ Knott End station is here
  9. Why not? Perhaps the old King model was a much loved item and the old chassis failed or was damaged? In order to keep the old model going, the previous owner has fitted a new chassis to it. It perhaps look 'off' because there is a picture of the new Hornby King box, which clearly shows the new model to be an improvement over the old one. Provided the seller is being honest about the model's provenance in his description, which he appears to be, I don't see anything wrong with the advert or the model. Caveat emptor as they say.
  10. Wizard Models still appear to have some in stock. https://www.wizardmodels.ltd/shop/locomotive/19p4/
  11. I don't know for certain, but the GWR ran into Manchester Exchange http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/m/manchester_exchange/ and to Birkenhead Woodside http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/b/birkenhead_woodside/ Perhaps there were GWR services between Manchester & Birkenhead at some point?
  12. Much as I would like to see a Class 91 on the Welsh Highland, I don't think it's going to fit. photo by Hannes Paling The NGG 16 Garratts are 10'4" http://www.pcngr.co.za/ngg16.htm I understand that when they arrived on the WHR, the railway had to lower the trackbed under some of the bridges to get the Garratts through. There is no way a nearly 12' tall diesel is going to fit under those bridges on the WHR. I agree VOR maybe a possibility. Haven't been there for a very long time, but I understand there is only one overbridge on the railway, and that has plenty of clearance.
  13. While we are on the subject of steam locos & HAAs Bickershaw Colliery by Gerv Wright
  14. They are there, no images though. F044 & F045 at the bottom of this page.
  15. They offer the same thing in 4mm as well. https://www.broadgauge.org.uk/modelling/bgs_parts_prices_4mm.html Search 'rail.'
  16. Yes they do https://hmrs.org.uk/br-steam-era-loco-and-coach-insignia.html If you zoom in, some of crests are right facing. HMRS only seem to have 7mm transfers in stock though.
  17. According to DVLA website, the dark green & the white ones (4th & 5th in the lineup) are both SORN, so still exist. The others haven't been taxed/MOT'd for several years, so probably scrapped.
  18. I'm not, it does say 'Bulwell' in the book, but given what else we know, that is probably a typo for Burwell.
  19. I don't have the Fred Harman books, but 'Manning Wardle & Co Locomotive Works List' by F W Mabbutt gives 422 as Class F, named 'Maidstone.' built for J Aird & Son contractors, later sold to R Stephenson & Son of Bulwell, later sold to Fisons Ltd, Bulwell. Doesn't give any dates though. THIS is an example of a Class F. Some were built and/or modified with enclosed cabs.
  20. Is this the one? https://www.railcar.co.uk/images/23113 According to railcar website, it was the only one converted from Class 123 to Class 309, to replace an accident damaged one. https://www.railcar.co.uk/type/class-123/numbering
  21. Railtec do the BR Early Crest in 4mm scale. https://railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=2126 I'm sure if you ask him nicely, Steve will produce them in TT:120 as well.
  22. Prentice Brothers were a chemical manufacturers based in Stowmarket. Taken over in 1929 by what later became Fisons. Graces Guide has details HERE.
  23. Yes, it is. I was reading E169 from my reference, don't know why I typed E159. I have now corrected it.
  24. That is a Baldwin from the Ponferrada - Villablino line in Northern Spain. https://www.internationalsteam.co.uk/tales/lythgoe24.htm Sorry, no ideas on the other two.
  25. At the moment it is, but who knows what will happen in 3/5/10 years time? When Simon Kohler has been asked that question, he has not ruled out selling through retailers at some point in the future, just not at the moment.
