  10. Hi Guys, these railway items have come into work this past few days and will be going up for auction in November. Just thought I would show them here in case they were of interest to any forum members. Sorry I don’t have any price estimates yet. Sadly the lamp has been repainted. There are also some repro name and number plates and a couple of original wagon plates. Cheers, Ade.
  11. The Q1 is one of my favourite locos and this is looking great.
  12. Thanks Andy. It has been frustrating at times what with all this lousy weather, but we are getting there now. Still lots to do of course, finish the last bit of roof, put all the roof shingles on, plus barge boards, guttering, various trims, painting inside and out, never mind finalise the plan for the electrics and lighting... One of the next things layout wise will be to organise the baseboard legs. Been looking at some laser cut ones from Whiterose. Cheers, Ade.
  13. Floorboards are now all down! It is now looking like a proper room. Sorry no pics, the dark nights beat me. Cheers, Ade.
  14. I think the lighter ash looks good. Cheers, Ade.
  15. Finally a dry day! Got almost all the insulation boards on the roof. Just the last 38 inch to do now. Cheers, Ade.
  16. Llareggub gets out and about and was on show at GCR Model Railway show this summer. It was one of the highlights of the show for me. Cheers, Ade.
  17. Very nice indeed and worth all the effort. Cheers, Ade.
  18. Some more decorated samples to see here: https://www.hattons.co.uk/newsdetail.aspx?utm_campaign=hattonsoclassa4paintedsamples&utm_medium=content&id=149&utm_source=newsletter&_ke=eyJrbF9lbWFpbCI6ICJhc3VtbWVyb2Y0NEBhb2wuY29tIiwgImtsX2NvbXBhbnlfaWQiOiAiSkdRZVhoIn0%3D
  19. Hi Barnaby, thanks as always for the comments. The Toad has now been given a spay coat of Matt enamel varnish. Very cuffed with how well the decals look. The cabin built has progressed a bit further over the weekend. The floorboards are now all down in the rear of the cabin and all the floor insulation is now in place. Just need a good dry day to get the roof insulation in place. This is chipboard bonded with the foam insulation so it has got to be a dry day when it goes on, cannot get it wet. Cheers, Ade.
  20. Hi Amanda, I changed over to O gauge after returning to railway modelling after 40 year break. I used to do OO. I have not looked back and I think you will enjoy the benefits of working in 7mm. I look forwards to seeing a track plan develop. Cheers, Ade.
  21. Any takers on these? If not they can go to the Grandkids. Cheers, Ade.
