  1. dont shoot me if i mess this up…. Evening shunt driver goes to wembley, shunts/preps both trains ect, take 5S95 T&T Wembley-Euston P1 detatch loco on buffer stops start up northbound loco, power train up and brake test ect. 5S95 then becomes 1S25 (NB highlander) driver (london based) turns up and takes 1S25 north as far as Preston. Shunt driver fires buffer stop loco up and moves out the way into the up sidings. Lowlander driver (crewe based) meanwhile travels to wembley And brings 5S96 single engined to Euston P1 once L.E out of the way. shunt driver puts light engine on north end of 5S96 which then becomes 1S26 (NB lowlander) while Lowlander driver detaches buffer stop end loco. brake test when complete Lowlander driver takes 1S26 north as far as Preston. Shunt driver takes light engine on buffer stops back to wembley…………. the driver on 1S25 waits at Preston and brings 1M11 (SB lowlander) to Euston, then goes home. the driver on 1S26 waits at Preston and brings 1M16 (SB highlander) back to Crewe, then goes home, relief driver (crewe based) takes 1M16 back to Euston…. morning shunt driver heads to Wembley and fires up/preps light engine 1M11 (SB Lowlander) passes on its way into Euston and berths in P1 shunt driver takes light engine wembley-euston and attaches to north end of 1M11, then detaches buffer stop loco to become 3M11, brake test then depart back to wembley ECS 1M16 (SB highlander) arrives into Euston P15, shuts buffer stop loco down. moved P1 light engine over to P15 onto the front of 1M16 to form 3M16. brake test, and off they go to Wembley ECS. 3M11 sits on the tanking road at Wembley, moves up 2-3 times before being shunted into the shed. Shunt driver goes home if he is lucky! 3M16 turns up and follows behind 3M11 each time it moves until it reaches the stop board on the tanking road and then copies 3M11. crewe driver then heads home. Easy, right? Lol
  2. They run well, only small issue i have had is the bogie retaining pins are just a press fit and have popped out a couple times, but you could always use a dab of glue. otherwise brilliant and i look forward to trying them with the Rapido Met1.
  3. Ah L48 you mean i take it? yeah it is pretty dull hey. Lucky they gave us a flash of red on the brake vans as you say haha. ive got 4 LU flat wagons myself that i need to do some work to so they run reliably
  4. Ooh very nice! Be good to see that combo. which one did you go for?
  5. Hopefully Rapido and CDC dont mind me posting, but CDC are now designing some Dreadnought coaches. These will compliment Met E class locos perfect! So surely more reason to order a Met 1 right? They look to still be available on the Rapido website.
  6. This feels like sooooooo long ago!!!!! Itching to take some pics/videos of a red one on my layout.
  7. Mate it sucks! Its been like the quietest new release ever! Its really odd that Bachmann didnt have it in their announcements vid, yet they had the kernow booster loco.
  8. Yeah they are one of the main things i have changed haha
  9. Appreciate that! Thanks! ive actually reworked some bits of the Met BoBo project as some of the sounds are bad quality and there are a couple dodgy bits in the motor sounds too, i need to finish it off and send it to Richard :) if you end up fitting the 62 file to a modded old efe set and dont have a Lokprogrammer then let me know as the file may need a few tweaks for that, tbf i may send Richard an ‘old efe’ version thinking of it.
  10. Thanks mate! There are a lot of sounds ect that arent on the video too, hopefully people will enjoy it :-)
  11. Hi all. with the new EFE tube stock landing on peoples doorsteps this week i thought i would let people know that sound is an option. incase you missed it as Bachmann were quiet on it, the new EFE train is available exclusively through the London Transport Museum, for £399. sound is via a pair of Plux22 Loksound V5 decoders, Genuine recordings from the London Undergrounds 1962 stock Rail Adhesion Train. pre set up incase you decide to fit exterior lighting also. my own model hasnt arrived just yet so here is a vid which Richard Croft has kindly put online. its available through Roads & Rails anyhow :) Hopefully you LT modellers like it, its been a lot of work! Eric
  12. A nice big slice of pie to cut up for the smaller retailers i hope.
  13. The vans are translator wagons for hauling EMUs ect when newly delivered, the flat wagons have concrete ballast weights on top to increase brake force
  14. Varnish, 100%. Would have been shiny out the works anyway. if the fox transfers werent correct id have been asking questions tbf! looks nice anyhow, looks like a CDC bodyshell? I have one too, trouble with it is the poor running of the oxford dean goods that lets it down!
  15. An H class would be super smart tbh. Though i cant see it happening myself
  16. I enjoyed the show, bit more spread out this year. Parked in the station carpark again, £9.50 so a large saving over the NEC price and still next door. Show was dead this morning from 09:30 when we walked in (with no que for tickets) until probably midday-ish… happy days. Dont really understand the loco in the middle but hey ho lol As usual i think i still missed some stands due to it being a bit all over the place and only did one day, though £50 on entrance fees would be a bit mad.. Spent far too much money regardless……..!
  17. For such an enormous loco i hope it can have a speaker that is actually decent rather than a sugarcube, as mentioned above smoke would be epic, sort of thing that in a couple years time i can see being super popular RTR.
  18. 2 amp is a bit limp, so the £400 price tag already is going to go up from needing a booster for plenty. using your phone to control trains is awful imo, physical buttons mean no need to look at it once you are used to it, so its nice theyve done their own controller
  19. What a great announcement! We need more modern image EMU’s for sure!
  20. Thanks Arun for the update. id love a copy of the list, if you dont mind. Eric
