  1. Sorry guys. I have seen others ask Hattons Dave questions and had not realised that I needed to tag him. Anyway, what do other Rmwebbers think about 66418 and contributions from sales to army charities?
  2. Hattons Dave - can you answer my question? I, for one, would like our armed forces to benefit from any sales of the loco. Will Hattons be paying a contribution to army charities on each sale of 66418? If I remember correctly this was the case for the Dapol N gauge model.
  3. What about the jumbo trains to Acton Yard where they were split to different destinations? Could these have mixed boxes and hoppers?
  4. What about the jumbo trains to Acton Yard where they were split to different destinations? Could these have mixed boxes and hoppers?
  5. Did the Yeoman or ARC JTA/PTAs ever run together in the same trains with the two axle PGAs? I would love to be able to run my old Lima/Hornby PGA wagons with these.
  6. Thanks everyone for the advice. The AS-186 and AS-196 seem to be getting the most recommendations and these are at my price point. Andrew
  7. No doubt this will have been covered before. However, my trusty old compressor (25 years old) has failed and I need a new one. I have looked at the various airbrush companies and can see various models. I would be very grateful for any recommendations from fellow modellers. I would like a compressor with a reservoir. Many thanks in anticipation, Andrew
  8. I suppose that I am ever so nicely pointing out that I probably know more about the Model Railway market than you.
  9. Bachmann’s Ts and Cs are pretty clear. What is the point of entering into a contract and then breaching it? Hattons have breached a contract term and so Bachmann are well within their rights to cease supply. Those talking about EU and competition law don’t really understand that this is a simple case of a breach of a contract term. There has to be a consequence to such a breach otherwise what is the point of a contract?
  10. As a previous manager of a major Model Railway shop, I would respectfully suggest that my view is not so presumption.
  11. However, the Bachy 66s have been around for some time and I, for one, have loads of them. I will not replace them with Hattons models. If people want a cheap 66 then the Hornby one will suffice. In a nutshell, there will not be significant demand. I think that Hattons will end up with loads of stock and egg on their face, I’m afraid. I also believe that Hattons, in supplying wholesale, knew what they were doing and were daring Bachmann not to supply. Good for Bachmann in sticking to their terms of trade.
  12. Many thanks. I hadn’t spotted that post. What do they look like mixed in a rake? Again any photos of this would be appreciated. Andrew
  13. Has anyone a photo of the Bachy IC MK 2f next to the Hornby version. I have a number of Bachmann versions and am wondering about buying the Hornby ones, given the lower price. I would want to run them together. I am less concerned about the lower grey as I weather my stock. Thanks in anticipation. Andrew
  14. Great choice as they ran in Cornwall. Definitely on fertiliser from Ince to Truro. I think that they may have also been used on bagged clay.
  15. I reckon that this makes the models more collectible and valuable. My dad collected stamps and those rare ones with flaws achieved high valuations. So so if you want an exclusive with a rare certificate, buy one now! (Chris T isn’t giving me commission, by the way!) Andrew
  16. Chris and Connor - what great guys they are. I know I am biased but I love their humble honesty and hard work.
