  1. TMC now have it at £91.79 excluding postage. Had to pick one up after my disappointment of Bachmann not doing one and it bringing back memories of seeing it on the Whifflet line.
  2. Watched the video and started getting excited when they announced class 350 in N scale and wondered if they would mirror that in oo scale. Sadly no and my thoughts of a class 101 in Strathclyde livery, new TTA / TEA variants in aviation fuel, 37 / 47 / 57 announcements or any new emus disappeared as I got to the end of the video. However, my wallet is safe and so glad of that having just ordered a batch of JNA wagons from Key World and awaiting to order 320s in OO scale.
  3. Superb Roy many thanks for that. Once I’m a bit more organised with my layout I’ll be ordering these.
  4. Thanks for the help @Magna Junction and @james-htfc Received my complete 36 rake of red cradle HAAs from both trains4u and KMS Raitech plus a few yellow and blue cradle versions. These wagons are spectacular but like others who have posted previously, I have experienced the same problems with the couplings and will need to see if I can loosen them or indeed replace them. Have to say my favourite are the blue cradle variants and it is a shame a saltire hasn’t been applied onto them for the reason specified by @james-htfc but I did find a pic with an HAA with a blue cradle and no saltire. Thank you to KMS Raitech and Trains4u and of course Cavalex for producing a quality model. As per my previous post there wasn’t any clear pics of the blue variants by KMS so here are my pics to help others who possibly have the same questions or like me returning to the hobby after a long period away. i just need to get started on my layout to run them now!
  5. Hi sorry as I’m a bit late to the party here. I’ve recently returned to the hobby and decided to research and want a load of these to go behind either my Accurascale EWS 66 or Cavalex 56s in Loadhaul / EWS. I intend to model around 2000 onwards at a location in West Central Scotland so the Hunterston MGR flows to Longannet are ideal to replicate. I also intend to also replicate the HTA / HHAs also. As well as this site, I have researched various DVDs of Scottish Diesels, Locomotion DVD of National Grid, YouTube and also Flickr. However, due to the condition of the dirt / grime on the prototypes on the platforms I’ve researched already, I cannot work out what Cavalax HAA variants I would need for the period I'm modelling. Is it red cradles or indeed EWS branded cradles? I’m unsure if the older OHLE warning signs on the Cavakex model remained on the actual wagons up to their withdrawal and to date I’m unable to find any evidence of this. Any help would be greatly appreciated please. I don’t want to take an expensive plunge and realise that the models are not for the era I need. Also regards the KMS Railtech blue variants, can I ask if are these are the Scottish wagons with the saltire or mainline blue? Many thanks. Colin
  6. Just purchased 37 401 from Kernow who have reduced their prices on this limited edition.
  7. Just purchased 37 418 An Comunn Gaidhealach via Kernow who have lowered the prices on this limited edition.
  8. Really looking forward to my model. Having returned to the hobby only last year, I missed out on some Accurascale models especially the large logo variants so I was quick to jump on and order one. This will be very well received. Thanks so much for commissioning it.
  9. Likewise with myself - carmine and cream is my era of modelling but I can’t resist the orange & black and saltire also. I’m hoping AMRSS will commission 320 306 model rail Scotland in OO as they did for N.
  10. Went on Friday and had a great day. Clocked up several miles going around the hall and always seeing something new. I spent an absolute fortune on a a Hornby A4 Sir Nigel Gressley, Saltire 156 from Charlie at DC Kits, some BBA wagons and some pop up design kits. Managed to squeeze into the Ellis Clark stall and wrestled a couple of MFA wagons. Spoke with the guys at West Hill Wagon Works who were very helpful in explaining their fantastic new range of OHLE (around 16 different models being produced if I recall correctly) and all resin kits but not compatible at this time with metal wires. The kits do look very impressive. They have magnetic bases allowing them to be easily removed from the layout and also the hangers can be slotted along the portal to the desired location. A great addition especially after Revolutions announcement regards the class 320 and 321 in OO. For me Wellpark was fantastic and brought back fond memories of the orange (aka Strathclyde red) and black 303s. I have never returned back for a second day however I came close but family commitments prevented me returning again over the weekend. Don’t think my wallet would have lasted another day!
  11. Superb news and many thanks to Revolution not only for bringing out the 320/321 model but more importantly for listening to modellers. I’m aware that it is not cost effective to produce everything for everyone but the guys have really listened and delivered to their customers. Some Strathclyde and Saltire versions will be ordered by myself.
  12. I finally received a reply today and they have stated they are not intending to increase the run to match demand. Any spares due to cancellations or non payments will be re-advertised on the webpage. Such a shame as i was looking for a complete rake of around 16 wagons.
  13. Came across this thread and have watched your YouTube videos and I have to say your layout and work is superb. I was particularly interested in your helix build and as a result I’ve now had a look at ddc train automation to get ideas and costs from their site. Your graffiti is superb and I have to say I really like your Mario and Marvin hoppers. Can I ask what materials do you use for the graffiti?
  14. Thanks rob that’s the email address I used.
  15. I have still had no reply to either of my emails - has anyone else had any replies at all? Thanks
  16. Thanks @newbryford for the reply and help. I managed to pick up a load from trains4u which were on sale so I could model the Hunslet Tilcon - Mossend traffic but will keep an eye out on eBay also for any bargains. Your modelling is superb and I’m really enjoying being back on the forum and catching up with projects and layouts. I was able to grab some HYA coal wagons from Rainbow Railways who had used Steadfast Models artwork on their printer. The finish is superb and I highly recommend their graffiti range also.
  17. Hi after returning to the hobby last year, I was fortunate enough to pick up some of these wagons before they all sold out. I was also lucky to snap up a TMC graffiti / weathered version on eBay which in my opinion is a stunning piece of art by TMC. Would anyone be able to tell me if this design has been taken from a prototype wagon or a TMC design? If a prototype, I would be grateful for any links please. My search has proved negative so far for a prototype. Many thanks in advance of your help.
  18. Hi Mike, I did email them around a week ago using the contact form on the website but to date have received no reply hence my post in the hope someone from key model world would pick it up. However, I found a direct email for the shop and have emailed to that. On another note, can I thank you for the superb quality of your models and service. I recently received my TEA wagons and Aluminium PCA wagons and blown away by the quality. Many thanks Colin
  19. After researching the royal blue variant, I decided to place an order and gutted that they are now all sold out. I note that Key World are only doing a run 125 of each model. I hope they decide to increase the run to match any demand. If so, I’ll only be too happy to make an order.
  20. Hi Ben, Thanks for your help and information. After conducting more research I found another YouTube video of Ravenstruther which shows a wagon number. I think you are correct in your assessment that they are the lighter blue versions offered by Hornby. Kind Regards Colin
  21. Hi Mike, Can I ask are the lighter blue variants be the same ones used on occasion for the Ravenstruther - Longport workings by Colas? https://youtu.be/gF51o7SRW68?si=_uxTAncDCGKAWt8k Many thanks Colin
  22. After returning to the hobby this year, I have attended a few Scottish shows but I have to say how much I enjoyed this show. The layouts and traders were well spaced out causing little or no shoving or bumping into each other and the lighting was superb. It was a joy to freely walk about from display to display. A well deserved congratulations to the organisers and I have to say thank you to a few of the people behind the layouts who were so helpful and enthusiastic regards my return to the hobby especially the gent behind Cartom West. Also wonderful to finally see Blair Atholl in person instead of via pictures. I’ll definitely be back next year!
