  1. Although I think that it only has 5 carriages. Can't make out any wheels for the sixth coach under the end of the fifth. ( But it may be just off the edge!)
  2. Found another image of 761 on Wiki https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:2-4-0_GER_T19_class_761.jpg#mw-jump-to-license This image states that 761 was converted to use Oil in 1893
  3. Looking at the coaches, that's quite a mixed bunch. Full brake 4 compartment first class (en-suite Toilets for central 2 only!) 2 door, 3 compartment corridor/open?, with brake/luggage compartment, clerestory 5 door, 5 compartment, but what's the bit between 4th and 5th compartment, toilets? Who for? Another full brake, opposite way around to first.
  4. Found this on Wikimedia. Public domain, source Bulgarian Archive State Agency! Great Eastern Railway 761 and a train of 6-wheeled carriages. GER 761 was a class T19 2-4-0 (order no. T24), built in 1890 and withdrawn in 1908. Click image for hi-res image https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:BASA-3K-7-518-33.jpg#mw-jump-to-license
  5. Just came across this site for someone who has made various etches for pre-grouping loco's and carriages. Although to 2mm he may be able/willing to up scale. http://eveleighcreations.com/etch-design/
  6. Guess that you've seen this link before, but just in case! https://www.gersociety.org.uk/index.php/rolling-stock/carriages/types-1-4
  7. Hopefully progress a bit now, I'll try and do the next bit within a year! Come back about Sept, that's about 9 months away.
  8. Well, after almost a year of doing nothing productive I bought a Cambrian Models LNER 6 plank open at Southampton Model show last weekend. Found/made some time to put it together yesterday. Quite an easy build, I hadn't made any of their models before, just a few Parkside ones.
  9. Further to last post I have to make a confession. I actually did some modelling yesterday. Started with this, a Cambrian models LNER 6 plank open. A couple of hours, and this the end result. Just need to add the buffers and paint, don't hold your breath though, probably be another year to finish!
  10. Can't speak for everyone else, but for me, about the same as if I did 1hr per week!
  11. I thought that it was Edwardian's outhouse that Castle Aching was being built in. I can now see that it's not grand enough to house such a fine layout, my mistake.
  12. Just to help you remember what the scenery up there looks like, I saw this layout at the Southampton show, Kitedale. A good backscene that blends into the model well. I like the way the stone walled road hides the edge.
  13. Saw this model at Southampton Model Exibition at the weekend. It had a good "Yorkshire" feel to it. Edit :- It's called Kitedale (not Kiteland in the title of the images!)
  14. Sorry to bring it almost back "On Topic", it is Victorian not Edwardian, so not totally back!
  15. Just uploaded some videos of Burntisland to youtube. A bit wobbly in some!
  16. A bit of a close up, thats about 10ft away, it's a large layout!! It's built to scale I think I overheard one of the operators saying!
  17. Here's another photo of Burntisland 1883 to keep the viewers happy. More to follow
  18. Got to the Southampton Model show, a good selection of layouts. Just a quick appetiser, I'll post some more later when I sort out the good ones. (Only took 178 photo's and a few videos!!!) Burntisland
  19. I'm more worried about the size of the mice outside the wayside hut!!
  20. Just saw this video and if you thought that learning English was hard!!!! Barbel's bar serves beer at barbarian's barbershop & the barbarians went to get their beards cut at the barber that serves barbel's beer after stopping at Barbara's cake bar
  21. Unfortunately, the boxes of "enthusiasm" and "life normality" were emptied last year and failed to be delivered by Santa at Xmas. The remaining bottles of mojo juice are down to the last few drops as well. Hopefully time this weekend to go to Southampton model show and get some refills. Thanks for asking.
  22. Just to try and cheer things up a bit, looks like spring is here. Taken yesterday afternoon in the garden and also congratulations on 300 pages!!!
  23. You also need to have "num lock" enabled and use the number key pad, that's not the 0-9 across the top!! But may be the 0-9 in the middle of some laptop keyboards, or the bunch on the right for a full keyboard.
