Many years ago I got a new bottle of 'death sauce', there was a bit of spillage around the lid and in the course of clearing it up my hands got quite stained and wouldn't completely wash off. All was well until I needed a wee a couple of hours later.....then I went to bed and took my contact lenses out..... 1,000,000+ scoville is not funny on sensitive areas. Apart from when it happens to other people :-D

Imagine you'd have handled Mad Dog 357 No. 9 Plutonium sauce. 9 million scoville...

Nice of them eh? The threshold has been coming down steadily for the past few years. Never really makes the news of course because the majority of the public perceive the 40% bracket to only affect the seriously well off!
