They look like they've been in the back of somebody's garage for fifty years. We all need to make a profit, but I'd be interested to know what they paid for that rusty junk.

Early Scalextric or Airfix L&Y Pug 0-4-0. Not nice either way.

What was that Kevin Costner film about football? Oh yes, "Showers with men" 😆

Whilst wandering around and looking for suitable background elements for my paintings, we came across this art deco industrial building. The windows have been replaced piecemeal, the old fire escape goes nowhere, but would be easily reinstated. There's a subtle weathering of the rendering and the mixture of road materials shows that it's crammed into a much older area, the buildings on the other side of the street are eighteenth century. Built right up against this, a wall of the back of old shops that seems to be a modelling challenge of every kind of surface and scar.

Or perhaps a 1955 Ford Mystere?

You cynic you, as a displaced country boy, that's my department! 😜

Knapsack sprayer? Perfectly okay for the Little Muddle time period. I would say "Here's a modelling challenge, Kevin!" But then there would be a man with the gear on his back striding into the field by breakfast...

Well, I never said I was a fan, in fact I'd go as far as to say that he didn't do the image of anyone from the Midlands any favours. As for being ridiculed for being a trainspotter, where I went to school, it was enough to not be interested in football to make you a social pariah and have everything from your intelligence to your sexuality questioned on a daily basis. I don't actually hate football, just the boring people who are obsessed with it and believe that everyone else should be.

Likely to be Edwardian style French doors with two outward opening doors and matching narrow windows down either side with the bottom panels being timber perhaps? Just thinking out loud trying to visualise the finished result!

You definitely have more patience than I, Caruthers... -
We had the run of the Music Room in Lancaster on Sunday and I took the opportunity to get some photos of the surrounding buildings from the angle that we usually see our models. There's a whole lot of details of rooves, weathering, chimneys, drainpipes, yards and dozens of other items, the pictures are high res so will stand a lot of magnification.

The difference being that I can actually sit and perform complex mathematics all day and remind myself next day how I did it. For some reason it doesn't stick in the mind and I have to have little memory joggers of how to do it, then I'm off again.

That's a useful bit of information, I've got a few (Read as: Lots!) to convert. Kevin, @KNPseems to be a passed master of the top feedectomy and keeps giving me friendly reminders to get it done.

You could do worse than hunt down some copies of The Pannier Papers or have a look here: http://www.gwr.org.uk/nopanniers.html

Dilamier, fr. Daimlers built under licence in France by Moteurs Sur Fromages. It's obviously N scale, but the item specifics list it as 1:43. I've had similar problems when eBay has decided to auto fill certain information because I used the "Sell one like this" option. I think that's dodgy because it could lead to a return under the item not as described facility. Double check everything when selling.

Which reminds of the hate mail Jasper Carrot said he'd received for taking the mickey out of dyslexics: "Laev us xylliads alone you winker!" I suffer from a curious form of disnumeracy that rarely gets a mention because it's not a fashionable affliction amongst celebrities. 😉
