  1. Looks like they have made a couple of other changes too. There are now Coach As in the BR and GNER liveries and the matching restaurant cars are now first class (the LNER one is still standard class).
  2. Someone asked Simon Kohler about the VEP in one of the recent Q&A videos and he said something along the lines of they'd bring it back if there was demand. Might be worth dropping him an e-mail if it is something you're interested in. It was this video at 08:25:
  3. They list the unit formation as: DVT-POS-POD-PO-SV-TOD-TO-TO-TO-TOE
  4. Me neither but they list the POS as being the coach coupled to the DVT if that makes any difference?
  5. Re the coach classification, Eversholt (who own them) have them classified as POS, POD, PO, SV, TOD, TO, TOE on their website ( https://eversholtrail.co.uk/fleet/mark-iv/ ). In my Key Publishing Rolling Stock Review, however, they're listed as FO, FOD, RSB, TSOD, TSO, TSOE.
  6. Ha, yes, that's very true. I'm also interested in the stuff I'm not actually interested in buying
  7. BR IC Mk4s and DVT are the highlights for me. I'll definitely be getting some to go with the newly tooled Class 91. Will also pick up some Mk3 sleepers. Other things I like the look of but less certain to buy: BR IC Ex Class 87 BR Blue Class 56 Also like the Midland Pullman and "Farewell" HST sets but don't really fit with my era. Oh, and maybe a P2 for (fictional) railtours.
  8. Yeah, just seemed a bit weird as they're not due out until H2 2021
  9. I got my paper copy of the 2021 Hornby catalogue through the post today and there is no mention of the APT in it anywhere. Doesn't look like Hornby are intending it be part of the range for very long once it finally arrives in July.
  10. There's also some information re the original sets here: https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/mk4-sets-how-fixed-are-they.184032/
  11. There's a video of a "Yorkshire Pullman" set with two buffet cars on YouTube:
  12. Shouldn't both the InterCity and GNER (assuming they're pre Mallard) have RFBs rather than RSBs?
  13. I'm guessing these will be Skaledale? https://www.hattons.co.uk/newsdetail.aspx?id=950#buildings
  14. Hornby announced two new 87s as part of their 2021 range: https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/160549-Hornby-2021-diesel-and-electric-range/
  15. There are three SOs: R40156 - Coach E R40156A - Coach C R40156B - Coach D
  16. Really pleased to see these. I thought it fairly likely that some Mark 4s would be on their way, given last year's announcement of the Class 91s, but was a little worried they might have re-used the existing tooling. Will be getting a rake of InterCity Mark 4s + DVT. Trying to work out if I can justify a GNER set as well; I always liked that livery.
  17. I would definitely be interested in an updated VEP. Simon Kohler mentioned it in one of the recent Q&A videos and said they'd be open to it if there seemed to be demand.
  18. As a few other people have mentioned, I expect Hornby will announce some Mk4s and DVT to go with the Class 91s they announced last year. Hopefully re-tooled versions up to modern standards. I'd like to see a full rake of accurate Royal Train coaches, although if they are planning on something like this then maybe next year might be more likely?
  19. Just looked back at the Rails announcement and it looks like nameplates are included (although maybe not fitted):
  20. I know it's not always 100% accurate but Wikipedia says: LINK
  21. Thanks for the updates Oliver - glad to hear things are still progressing with this. Does this mean that the original Intercity Swallow liveried version will be unnamed?
  22. Looks like it's R4630 in the "add on" pack (i.e. Chocolate and Cream) and R4628 in the "starter pack" (i.e. Carmine and Cream).
  23. Looking back at old YouTube videos, it looks like the 2020 range was announced on Monday the 6th of January 2020 and the 2019 range on Monday the 7th of January 2019. Could be either Monday the 4th or Monday the 11th for 2021?
