I just took a look and Hornby website's is now saying all the APT stuff is due Summer 2021: I'm pretty sure that can't be the case?

I doubt it. When I put one in my basket it added the VAT at the checkout stage and went back to £484.

Yes, I added the 7 car set to my basket but when I got to checkout it was showing the price as £484.99 (including £80.83 VAT).

To be fair to Hornby, they also said in today's Engine Shed: The model was originally due to be announced in our 2022 range launch, but here you have an early teaser! I guess we'll never know the full truth but it looks more to me that they were rushed into an announcement by the Rapido model rather than they decided to produce the model in response to it.

All the APT packs are available for pre-order again on the Hornby website (they were all out of stock previously).

Yes, I always liked the GNER livery. Out of era for me but still half minded to pick up a GNER 91 and a shortened rake if I can afford it after the InterCity set.

The Mk4 DVT is £5 cheaper than the Mk3. Not sure why but it did strike me as a little odd as I would have assumed they would be very similar spec'd models. Maybe the Mk4 won't have opening doors? The pictures of the engineering samples in the Engine Shed blog don't look, to my eyes at least, like they open but not sure how indicative of the final model these are.

To save me trawling through 30 pages of this thread, have any retailer exclusive Class 92s been announced or are the models on Accurascale's website the full range?

They showed up when I just did a search. When you type something into the search box it show you the (top?) six hits but underneath it show the number of hits against each category in the catalogue. If you click on one of those categories then you get the full list. So if you type "Merchant" into the search box, the top six hits I got were a couple of sound decoders and four locomotives (not including the Dublo ones). When I then clicked on the link to "Train Sets and Rolling Stock" I got eight locomotives (including R3970 and R3971).

That works fine for me (just now). Got two pages of results: a mixture of Class 60 locos and spares for them.

The website's been fine for me every time I've accessed it since the new version launched. I did need to reset my password but tbh that might have been memory failure on my part. I did notice that one of the Class 90s was listed as being Era 6 (i.e. pre-TOPS) but I don't think that's really an issue with the website itself. Seems much easier to navigate and search than on the old site. What is it people are trying to do when you're getting all the errors you're reporting?

I'd rather an 8-Pin Class 89 than no Class 89, personally.
