There are at the back of us & there is a mound with literally thousands of old hazelnut shells. Acorns scatted about everywhere at the moment, plucked off the trees. Obviously the seasonal preferences. A flat squirrel on the road is a great joy, but never enough as seem solitary but always present. thanks (A flat squirrel is a happy dead one)

Hello. On the subject on pesky (Grey) squirrels how do I persuade them to leave my garden. Eating my Strawberries & the Kidney Bean plants ! Set traps but just eat around the peanuts & thus thinks this encourages them to feast on my efforts. After this lets sort the world issues ! Peter Do like to see the Red pests out in the wild.

*** that for a game of solder...
Peter Eaton replied to The Johnster's topic in Modelling Questions, Help and Tips
Soldering irons ? How many others here started with the old irons that had a large block of copper / brass on the end that was heated up on the gas oven ring. My farther worked at Ericssons Beeston at the time late 50s /60 so had plenty of experience soldering. GPO Telephone exchange work. Sad not got it now, ''stock taking' we progressed to the Weller I still have now. Peter Ho Ebay is loaded with them ! -

Thanks as always interesting forum readings Peter -
You could take a chance on renting a stall at a swop-meet, or just try a few as a start on Ebay to see how that worked out for you. only a bit of research is needed as on looking how popular an individual item is & on completed listing seeing how it has done on past sales. For all the good or bad the site is popular obviously for model railway collectables, You are thus spreading any risk slowly in the sales process & than see has progressed & passing your site dealing on here most members I assume would advise & help the process on items Hope this may help you. Cavalex Models All new RTR BBA wagon in 4mm scale
Peter Eaton replied to Grimleygrid's topic in Cavalex
May seen daft ! How does one purchase these. Or are they all preordered. Just been on the Cavalex Models web site. Is there any model shops selling these now ? Thanks Peter -
Easily be replaced - as always on ebay ! If the seller did it the price obviously would be more.

Sheffield Exchange, Toy trains, music and fun!
Peter Eaton replied to Clive Mortimore's topic in Layout topics
Thanks Gentlemen. Hoping someone saying ''Templot '' would help ? only bit understanding is running into the respectable 3 foot curve. will have to scratch my head more. my A level result this week was not respectable in current maths. was though in 1972. An ex Railway draughtsman I should be able to plot a curve. Peter -
Sheffield Exchange, Toy trains, music and fun!
Peter Eaton replied to Clive Mortimore's topic in Layout topics
Out of keen interest ! Is there a formula or spec for producing railway transition curves ? ie a 90 degree curve. Obviously this takes the model railway layout above the set track level, thanks Peter -
Jonathan Card ? or plastic card …. either, fine work ! & nice to see... Peter

Just checked my Ebay. They have refunded me the purchase price of my kit from modernmultipleunits2019. He presumably has not responded to their request for postal details. Sad, I obviously wanted the class 309 kit & was happy to support his work as I had seen the reviews in this the RM web Peter

could this bargain be the real scam ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/London-Underground-Bachmann-35-990-S-Stock-4-car-train-pack/164297562067?hash=item2640e5d7d3:g:C94AAOSwZRNfFJ5v

I find this section very interesting as seeing items I would not obviously search for. How many readers actually ''make an offer'' ? The sad thing is you actually may be accepted ! I like to watch this item usually as this may help the seller gain confidence on his selling skills Or are some of there great items from members on here anonymously posted. He wins on the Postage rates anyway, & above could actually be accidentally repaired in the delivery process. the famous shake the box assembly kits. Nice anyway. Peter keep up the good work.

Signaller69's projects
Peter Eaton replied to Signaller69's topic in Modifying & Detailing RTR stock
Martyn Thanks. By chance or Sods Law I found in an earlier message the http://www.barrowmoremrg.co.uk/Prototype.html page, previously there had been links to just individual books. This page seems to have an major interesting library available there The books I had previously looked at do seem difficult to relate to as the BR diagrams have no reference to the basic class we all know the units, as. again thanks. From just above did a Craftsman detailing kit onto a Peak to obviously get the buffer beam correct many years ago. How times have changed regarding ready to run models! Peter -

Peter Eaton replied to Signaller69's topic in Modifying & Detailing RTR stock
Hi. from visiting this site I have found the EMU, & loco hauled plans but no direct link & above the first mention of the DMU's I dis look in their site for links but unable to see any reference to the diagram books. Thus a direct link please would be nice. Peter.this cut & shut does look nice. I did years ago turn a Lima class 117 brake into a trailer car & make a single car unit. Then ran out of ideas! I need to read through now the class 123 with the ''Trix'' ? coaches thanks Peter -
