Things can only get better. Heard yesterday that parts of UK had less daylight than Oslo.

Olso is further north the UK. It's winter solstice, so that's impossible, surely? Less sunshine, I'd believe, but the time between sunrise and sunset must be greater in the UK from Autumn equinox to Spring equinox.
Most of the Shetland Isles are further north than Oslo. Today Lerwick had 5hrs 49 min daylight and Oslo 5hrs 54 min, so they were technically correct.
