  5. RailAdventure 43468 and 43480 arrive at Keighley from Kings Norton on 23rd June 2023 with 0Z43, ahead of their guest appearance at the neighbouring Keighley & Worth Valley Railway's diesel gala.
  6. And a short time later passing through Keighley - 3Q99, Carlisle Upperby CE Sidings to Doncaster Wood Yard, 23rd June 2023.
  7. Several from 19th June 2023. DB Cargo 66160 heads west along the Calder Valley towards Brighouse with 6M16, Tees Yard to Knowsley Freight Terminal, empty bin liner containers. Followed a short time later by a trio of GBRf 66s working light locomotives as 0G89 from Doncaster Down Decoy Yard to Crewe Basford Hall. Leading was 66702 Blue Lightening... ...with 66704 Colchester Power Signalbox... ...and 66719 METRO-LAND.
  8. On 19th June 2023, Northern 150201 and 150210 were operating the pair of diagrams that provide the local service between Huddersfield and Bradford Interchange via Halifax. 150201 slows for its booked stop a Brighouse with 2W12 from Huddersfield. 150210 accelerates away from Brighouse with 2W10 from Huddersfield... ...before returning a little over an hour later with 2W15 from Bradford Interchange, between Brighouse and Bradley Wood Junction.
  9. Hopefully, with Accurascale's passion for accuracy, the relative size of the light clusters can be tweaked a touch to reflect the sizing on 66004, as shown below. 66004+66177 working 6M16 through Brighouse on 22nd December 2022.
  10. Colas 70804 approaching Brighouse on 19th June 2023 with 6M44, Colas Ribble Rail to Haverton, discharged bitumen tanks.

No guarantee that they will run, of course, so given in good faith.
  12. GBRf 60056 heads east along the Calder Valley approaching Brighouse on 5th June 2023 with four JNA bogie box wagons, working as 6Z71, Liverpool EMR to Doncaster West Yard.
  13. With the punters of the North Wales Coastal Pullman rail tour being wined and dined, and looking forward to a sunny day by the seaside, Locomotive Services Limited's Midland Pullman 43046 'Geoff Drury 1930-1999' speeds through Deighton with 1Z43, Berwick-Upon-Tweed to Llandudno, on 1st June 2023... ...with power car 43055 bringing up the rear.
  14. The lines aren’t Bi-directional. They’re, reading left to right, the Up Greetland and Down Greetland at Salterhebble Tunnel just south of Halifax. Well spotted Terry. 👍
  15. And a good job of the re-opening you and others made too. Without it the hourly Northern service between Huddersfield, Halifax and Bradford Interchange wouldn’t be in the timetable. Nor would the direct connection to London Kings Cross from this part of West Yorkshire, provided by Grand Central.
  16. Lucky timing or a fake? You decide.
  17. There is more evidence now of preparatory work on the line between Deighton and Huddersfield. The following sign, that I took a photo of close to Deighton station on 29th May 2023, is a new addition although the associated work referred to in the text has been on going for several months now. I'd have cleaned the bird crap off but I didn't have anything suitable to hand! If it's of help, the following Google maps reference should allow a better overall view of the location. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.667421,-1.757007,562m/data=!3m1!1e3?entry=ttu
  18. Class 68+Nova 3 set diagrams effective from 21st May 2023 can be found here. As usual, the information is offered in good faith with no guarantee on the day that the services listed will be Class 68 hauled.
  19. A TransPennine Express class 185 enters Salterhebble Tunnel, on the line between Halifax and Greetland Junction, on 31st May 2023.
  20. The box at Hinton Admiral was located in an identical position to that at Sway, ie on Platform 1, towards the Bournemouth end. If you can track down a copy of 'Steaming Through West Hants' by Peter Hay, published by Middleton Press (ISBN 978-0906520697), image 37 shows there's a clear view of the 'box.
  21. After failing on 27th May 2023, Locomotive Services Limited's 47712 'Lady Diana Spencer' was recovered from Scarborough Excursion Sidings on 29th May 2023 by D05 Preservation Limited’s 37688 ‘Great Rocks’. Passing through Deighton working as 0Z22 to Crewe Holding Sidings.
  22. D05 Preservation Limited’s 37688 ‘Great Rocks’ duly returned from Scarborough Excursion Sidings on 29th May 2023 with 47712 Lady Diana Spencer in tow, although 0Z21 mentioned in my post yesterday was cancelled and an earlier schedule to Crewe Holding Sidings, running as 0Z22, substituted.
  23. D05 Preservation Limited’s 37688 ‘Great Rocks’, on long term lease to Locomotive Services Limited, at Deighton on 29th May 2023 working light locomotive as 0Z47 from Crewe Holding Sidings to Scarborough Excursion Sidings. The 37 was heading to Scarborough to collect 47712 Lady Diana Spencer which failed whilst working 1Z60, Ayr to Scarborough, Statesman rail tour on 27th May. The return working should, according to Realtime Trains, be 0Z21, 1440 Scarborough Excursion Sidings to (2006) Crewe Holding Sidings.
  24. And here it is a little earlier passing through Brighouse, 47593 Galloway Princess leading 47712 Lady Diana Spencer working as 1Z60, Ayr to Scarborough, The Statesman rail tour. At this point the rail tour was +81 minutes. I understand that the delay was due to the failure of 47712 at Kilmarnock. I assume that 47593 had, fortunately, originally been included in a 'Top 'n' Tail' formation to aid reversal of the rail tour for the return journey from Scarborough. In the event, 47593 worked the rail tour back solo as 1Z61, Scarborough to Ayr, seen approaching Brighouse in the early evening. If it's of interest, from a TOPS list it would seem as though 47712 has been left at Scarborough and is due to be recovered tomorrow (29th May) by this; Outward light locomotive 0Z47 Crewe Holding Sidings to Scarborough Excursion Sidings Return light locomotive + 47712 0Z21 Scarborough Excursin Sidings to Crewe Holding Sidings
  25. My copy has arrived this morning, a couple of days before the ‘on sale date’. 😀 A quick look through shows it to be excellent. If you’re interested in engineers’ wagons and modelling the present day railway you’ll not be disappointed.
