  1. Its your problem .........not ours ..
  2. Its an exclusive club being a Ferrari driver .Books will be written about you (or at least give you a passing mention ) long after Mercedes are forgotten.Ferrari has a magic that the others just dont have .They have always been there apart from a few pouts .They havnt parachuted in to win the World Championship X number of times then go or built a factory in the UK or have their entire car designed and built in the UK though it will poach anyone they can get their hands on .Ferrari is a club of one and it would give Hamilton enduring glory points ...if he wins .Of course if he looses he is a dumb worn out Brit .
  3. The 1/87 Oxford diecast are great little models .I spif them up with a chrome pen to bring out the special zing.Maybe some trucks will come along .The US trucks are pricey over here . compared to Oxford .havent seen any offerings yet for Hornby H0 rail models .
  4. I think it should be sent to me .I am obviously more sensible .I will paint it SP red and grey and run it on my layout .
  5. Years ago I converted some Hoe Bemo German stock and a V51 loco to Hon3 just to run it on my track .I just pushed the wheels out . and it ran fine .i did wonder whether to repaint the loco into D&RGW just fora laugh but sense took over.
  6. I bought a" used" ,though in fact brand new,Peco code 75 double slip insullfrog for a single point price to try out on my US code 83 and possible code 70 dead frog layout .Despite being dead frog it works fine with my DCC /DC brass steam and plastic diesel switching layout .No isolating whichis sad as I use a MRC Tech 6 which only runs one loco at a time and rely on isolating locos via points isolation.i will install a few switches to isolate the tracks but it all works well . I use Woodland scenic underlay and foam cement so its eesy peezy to alter track layout .I though maybe i would need fancy point motors and wiring but it just lays there working and solving a track layout problem .Pleased I didnt pay full price though .
  7. Cant wait to sculpt a crew for it.......(great excuse for buying one .......going by similar PRR K4 price then its about 350 ish via Bachmann uK
  8. Bachmann have announced a 0n30 baldwin 2-6-2 trench loco with sound for those who might like a bigger type too.Looks good .not sure about the battle sounds....
  9. Just missed a shot of them yesterday morning at Thorpe St Andrew bridge .Couldn't get the iPhone up and running and sort out dogs in the micro seconds it was there .I did the same thing at Wroxham when an RTT set was crossing the bridge .Just stooped down to to pick up an doggie deposit and there it was ........gone.
  10. Is the chip fitted to an 8 pin NEM /NMRA socket .?If so try pulling it out reversing it ,orange wire to pin 1or marked as often the lights dont work if its not inserted correctly.
  11. Surely there is something we can moan about .i mean it is RMWeb..........
  12. Run smoother and more controllable ,ShouLd have a lower speed too as the motor doesnt cog. as much .i would wait .
  13. Our chassis design should follow US brass design with a base plate , drop out wheels and axle box and a split gearbox design that allows the gears and wheels to drop out like US brass usually does.Have a lot of experience of US brass it always amazes me what a lousy design British chassis are .
  14. I used Baking soda and super glue on my guitar nuts to fill a slot and refile it It stays put under huge tension so is certainly strong .In fact I have forgotten which guitars I did it to .Watch heat with superglue it can get very hot . The quick dry ep[oxy putties used by plaumbers is very good .I use it for making motor mount saddles for sticking new can motors to US brass locos.15 mins after making it the loco is up and running .
  15. A coreless replacement is due out I gather.
  16. The one on our right appears to have a weight distribution problem as well as a high drag helmet
  17. That only works if the car is moving .i nearly passed on the M25 once in blazing hot weather . If i hadnt managed to get by the side of a huge truck and get some shade i think i would have done.I rapidly pulled off the next exit. Vowed then to get aircon .The doggys like it too .Unfortunately the price of a nice new car stays firmly locked into my wifes rainy day account .crow bar needed.
  18. White miliput is the finest if its any help .squadrons good too i think mine was white last time I had some .
  19. Funnily enough the air air con compressor has just gone after coughing up 75 quid for a refill .Ouch, so 500 straight away.Still might be worth keeping as it goes so well but its starting to tun out of luck .its replacement might be worse though .
  20. Rats can dig huge holes .8 -9 inches sounds about right for the little .There will be more than one hole as they dig a whole complex often starting under a shed .
  21. Lando isnt a great communicator, in fact he is almost ..........
  22. Lando is the real deal not Alonso now.
  23. Well done Lando .Qualied 5 th beating Sainz.
  24. I have a 2002 Golf auto with about 11000 on the clock i have had it for 9 years .It sails through MOT's but it cannot last .Wondering whether to buy a more modern one or just cough up about 500 and have some parts that may need fixing done .its the full equipe version so its pretty up to date anyway ie air bags ,aircon ,onboard pooter etc.We dont do much milage as our dogs dont travel well .
