Looking forward as always to making the trip North to the show. Always a great show with a very welcoming organising team and club members, Who will be pleased to know that this year the layout is a little bit smaller than last years so help won't be needed for unloading!! 😃
Looking forward to seeing you again, always up for unloading an 80s layout no matter the size.

Oh well, after many years I no need to keep checking this page for the latest update on the ScotRail Mk2z, the single coach pack and the twin pack have arrived, the single coach after many years, the twin after only a few months.
Really pleased with them, but wasn't expecting the free "gift" with the twin pack. I didn't realise Bachmann had a link with Modelu.
Thanks for keeping us updated over the years, it was appreciated.

Am I right in thinking there was only 5 TSO and 1 FK MK2a coaches repainted into ScotRail livery? All of which would be disc brake fitted as they originally part of the class 27 push-pull rakes?
Regards.
Bill.According to the SDEG's recent book Scotland’s Diesel Fleet in Detail, ScotRail Express there were 5 TSOs from the original pool. 5146, 5152, 5153, 5176 and 5197 brought back for push pull operation. All painted into ScotRail. There were also 2 FKs 13411 and 13424 brought back of which 13424 was painted into ScotRail.

Was just watching the video about removing weathering and posted a comment on YouTube. I couldn't upload a picture of the before and after so have copied the comment here.
Thanks for another really useful video which got me thinking about a ScotRail BG coach I bought second hand which was apparently professionally weathered. I felt it was too dirty. I'd has a go a few years back with 70% IPA which had little impact, this time I went for 99.9% IPA. Much better results. I did them give it a clean with soapy water to remove any left over IPA. Totally agree with your advice on checking prototypes, whilst some MK BG were manky, those in passenger rakes such as my ScotRail one would have been a bit cleaner as they would have gone through the carriage cleaner with the other passenger coaches in the rake I suspect. Interesting, does it say whether they've done any retooling with them?
Just wondering when its been a long time since some of these releases were announced before production and they seem to have been out of the catalogue for a while generally which can indicate retooling.
Not heard they are retooling them.
Just hope they remember to correct the position of the ScotRail logo on the Mk2z ScotRail coaches. I did email them when they were first announced them and they confirmed it would be corrected.
