  1. Hi Just come across a photo on another site of a Class 122 with wrap around yellow ends including the doors which the poster says Hornby used as the basis for the first livery of their 121, anyone know the number of the said 122 please for a possible renumber of a Dapol N guage 122? Apparently the image was from a book "Heyday of the DMU" taken by Michaels Mens ing. Ian
  2. Hi Tom 60009 was renamed Osprey in the mid to late 80's as protection against the loco being damaged by any anti apartheid demonstrations, she had reverted to the UoSA name sometime in 1991/92 Ian
  3. Hi Jeremy Where did you get the printed MU cables from please as I need some for my 86401? Ian
  4. Not an option when said twerp is in the outside lane of a 2 lane motorway doing 50 and hasn't noticed or chosen to ignore a faster car coming up behind. I
  5. So its OK for some twerp to blind the cars behind using the rear high intensity fog lamps, but, ridiculous to use your main beam if your following someone, double standards me thinks! Ian
  6. If that's a model then I'm giving up and taking up needlework Ian
  7. Why is Hamilton allowed to take his pet dog to the circuit when there is a sign at every circuit saying animals are not permitted! Ian
  8. But that shouldn't be an excuse for sitting in the middle or outside lane when the inside lane is clear. Ian
  9. Hi Iain Don't know if this is of any interest to you for Camden, 3d printed bodies for the ex LMS Oerlikon and GEC units towards the bottom of the page- http://www.rue-d-etropal.com/3D-printing/3d_printed_trains1.htm Ian
  10. Hi Dragging from the back of my memory, when the seatbelt laws were introduced there was a provision for delivery drivers making frequent stops to be exempt from putting the belt on due to the fact they were in and out of their vehicles at each stop, is this still the case? the reason for asking is that I sometimes help out the local newsagent doing a paper delivery and I stop every 20-30 yards or so. Ian
  11. Gilbert You could knock the wall down and extend outwards Ian

  15. Hi All Many Thanks for the replies, Jim I will send you a PM, The reason for asking is that I have the drawing from a 1966 Modeller of the Stanier curve top 3500Gall tender and I'm wondering if it is doable to cut down a Bachmann 4000G tender to fit on the 3500 chassis to produce the curve top 3500 gall version I need for 5684 Jutland. anyone considered this type of conversion? Ian
  16. Hi all Anyone able to point me in the direction of a 4mm scale drawing of the LMS Stanier 4000 Gall tender in any of the modelling magazines please? Ian
  17. Hi John Thanks for the profile of the Turbomotive, one question, what do you mean by an enlarged reversing turbine please? ian
  18. Hi I appreciate what you're saying, but, some of us aren't able to get to shows to see the layout in the flesh. Ian
  19. Hi While on the subject of the trains, any chance of a few photos of the Turbomotive along with some details of what John has done to it please? I've just acquired a part built one which I'd like to finish/detail to its 1947 condition. Ian
  20. Because its a model RAILWAY! My Personal preference would be to see some more of the trains and less of the buildings. Ian
  21. Hi Just a quick question regarding rear fog lights, isn't there a requirement in the highway code to switch them off if there is anoother car behind you? When I've used mine I've always switched them off if there's another car behind. Ian
  22. A Relatively simple conversion of the Hornby LMS Suburban Brake 3rd using a Comet End. Ian
