  5. I have been looking for information on the Fort William portion of the Sleeper, Am I correct in thinking that during the early to mid 1980's the sleeper to Fort William ran via Glasgow Queen St? From what I can deduce from photos there seem to be 2 x Mk3 Sleeping Cars and a seating coach, possibly a Mk2 BSO, then extra seating coaches were added at GQS, if so how many extra coaches were added and did the train use the same route in reverse in the evening, via GQS and dropping off the seating coaches? Thanks Ian
  6. That sounds brilliant Ian, I was going to ask about Radio Le Mans as I had used these type of radios at Silverstone for the F1 and they have good commentary, how much of the circuit can be walked around during the racing, are there certain bits you can't get to? Ian
  7. Thanks Ian, I have booked with an organised trip, coming down on the Wednesday back on the Monday with hotel and grandstand seat, a couple of options out to mulsanne enclosure and also to the city on the Friday for the drivers parade. Ian Ian
  8. And its also the 100th anniversary of the Le Mans 24hrs this year and I'm finally going to get there after wanting to for many years. Ian
  9. Wasn't there a saying that when New St sneezed the rest of BR caught a cold.
  10. How much of a difference is there between the SR M7 0-4-4T and the Caledonian 439 0-4-4T? Just wondering how doable is a conversion of the Dapol N gauge M7 would be. Ian
  11. Yes please Andy, seems like we have an augmentative type here with no appreciation of what our military personnel have achieved to give him his freedom to rant!!!!!!!!!
  12. Bang Goes half of Hamilton's championships🤣
  13. How's this for an idea, cancel the rest of the season and the money saved could be offset against any overspend previously and wipe the slate clean. and further if a driver causes damage to another car then that drivers team pays for the repair, e,g Russell crashed into Sainz therefore the repair to the Ferrari should be paid out of the Mercedes budget.
  14. Thanks for the info, I'll pass it on, incidentally the TVR C is on a Airfix 0-4-2T chassis, but the Barry 0-8-2T chassis has Electrotren stamped on it.
  15. Nooooooo, Keep the sprint races and have more of them.
  16. A friend of mine has recently acquired 2 4mm scale locos which appear to be resin bodies on proprietary chassis, can anyone help with identification of the locos and their possible maker please?
  17. Or Do it the way they do at Le Mans, cars in the pit lane are held at the pir exit until the safety car train has passed and they are released onto the tail end.
  18. Be Careful which one you want to do as 44009 had a class 45 nose with centre headcode box at one end
  19. Since I live in Wales and as they say if you can see the mountains its a sign of rain, if you can't it's already raining, my question is can a 4mm OO garden layout be run during rainy weather or are you restricted to dry sunny days? Ian
  20. Hi Steve Apologies if its been asked before, but, what is the origin of the Austerity signalbox in 7mm?
  21. Was there anything in the inside lane stopping you pulling over to let him past anyway? I don't understand why people insist in sitting at 50 in the outside lane when the inside is clear.
  22. I went and thoroughly enjoyed myself, good layouts and the icing on the cake was Durham St, had a nice chat to Ian about it and his previous Haymarket Cross, didn't buy much, but, the entry fee alone was well worth it and by the way Covid didn't even cross my mind, nice to be getting back to some sort of normality.
  23. Hi Jonathan What size wheels would I need for one of the Kirtley OSF 0-6-0's, I've recently acquired one off ebay but the centre wheel are flangeless so I'd like to re-wheel and re-motor it? Thanks Ian
  24. On the subject of MTK kits, anyone have or know of one of their 54ft LMS suburban coach kits lying around they no longer require? Ian
