  3. Hi Mark Have you looked at Precision labels? they do packs D19 A/B/C Custom Wagon Data Panels in 7mm, 4mm and 2mm respectively, you fill in the details you want on the order and they custom print the panels. Ian
  4. Hi David There is a group on FB called Glory Days of Diesels & Electrics and the link I posted was to a photo posted on Oct 6th of a class 27 departing over the station throat of the old station, taken from what looks like a path between the fence and the Loch. There are a few shots of the old FW Station on that site. Ian
  5. Have you seen this on Facebook? https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=898823951065544&set=gm.2979886572252599&__cft__[0]=AZUy7JwgMsFIhjzZQa8uQiYTmDk5kC2Q7WmxGn5qfH9aKTktSOYeeUCFH3sB8by5YsSq303YuXK0sTehAUvM9NaHXQGmndadHjdh9rlyIG5HE2FhQVX6XaI3eWfnkejsVuTrpmhgFLnYYF59YXHRMlD4&__tn__=EH-R Ian
  6. Hi Ian yes, it must be further back than 1997
  7. Quite a number of years ago now an issue of I think Model Rail had a plan of Salisbury condensed to fit a garage, anyone know which issue it was please? Ian
  8. That is how he like to be portrayed, the reality as he came up through the different formulas is rather different
  9. Hamilton should have left more room
  10. Well, I don't expect many to agree , but, I think the format with quali on Friday and the sprint on Saturday is very good, really enjoying Monza, I think there is one more this season, so here's hoping for more in 2022
  11. Hi Dave Thanks for the link, but, i don't model inO gauge so no need to join the guild, I'm simply trying to find a whistle and shield for a friends 56xx which is missing these bits.
  12. Hi Dave I'm Not a GOG member so unable to access that info.
  13. Hi I'm looking for a GWR Whistle and Whistle Shield for a 7mm 56xx model, can someone tell me if these are available and if so from whom? Ian
  14. Discussion during the commentary on the Le Mans 24hrs is the next big development in sports car racing is Hydrogen powered cars and what is in sports cars usually migrates down to road cars later. Ian
  15. If a member of his pit crew gave it to him there's no issue, but, if a marshal has then that marshal has encroached on a "live" track which is a no no. It is the reason you won't see British marshals waving flags at trackside at the end as is done at overseas circuits, stems from an incident a few years back at I think Donnington where the winner had taken the chequred flag, but, a incident occured further down the field blocking the track and because of other flags being waved the drivers on their "cooling down" lap missed the yellows being waved to warn of the incident and a couple of marshals got hurt, so ever since the flag marshals stay at their post until we are told all cars are in the pits.
  16. I think the problem with time penalties is that the top end drivers have the talent to overcome a time penalty more than drivers further down the order, some other formula take away points when a driver is guilty of a misdemeanour, but, then you run into the problem of how do you deal with a driver with no championship points.
  17. Where I find it baffling is Hamilton is guilty of causing the crash, as shown by the penalty, and putting max in hospital yet even with the penalty goes on to win the race, so not really a punishment anyway. as for the union flag at the end, hope they don't pin point the marshall who gave it to him otherwise that could be the last GP he or she marshals at!
  18. Hi everyone Many Thanks for the info, just what I was after.
  19. Hello All Can anyone tell me which services conveyed sleeping cars say west of Exeter in the late 1960's Early 70's, was it just services from Paddington or were there sleeper services from the north as well? Thanks Ian
  20. Slightly different question for those on here who have the knowledge, there seems to be an opinion that the E10 fuel can't be used in petrol lawn mowers annd not mixed with oil in 2 stroke garden machinery, anyone able to shed light on this? Ian
  21. Not being "daft" In the above quote, how close was the driver when the light turned Red, would hard braking potentially have caused an accident, what is "Nearly" hitting a pedestrian? it is often just someone's opinion whether something was close or "nearly", reporting it to police is just being petty and spiteful in my opinion, others are going to disagree, but, sometimes we need to look at ourselves and what we do before condemning others.
  22. The problem with dash cam, helmet cam and every other sort of cam footage it is turning people into judge, jury and executioner, sometimes when I've been cycling another cyclist will pass an opinion that a driver was close passing us while to me it wasn't close at all.
  23. Hi all Did the D800 warships work with the early Mk2 coaching stock, the non ETH types, all the photos I've seen seem to have Mk1's? It’s just I was looking at the Diesel Dawn book on the Swindon warships and towards the end there is a photo with what looks to me like a blue/grey Mk2 immediately behind the loco, ( I don’t have the book with me at the moment to give the loco number) Ian
