Choice of sound decoder for Heljan mogul.
gismorail replied to Stringfingerling's topic in 7mm+ modelling
I would agree with above comments as I have been pondering as to whether to purchase one of these locos ever since they were launched. The main thing stopping me is the tender pick up only ....and as WN183 says on a £600 Loco now there seems to be issues with bits coming adrift -

Be great if you could get some shots around the Shrewsbury area Jim -
One would ask the question which one works best 125 or 131 .........if one is bullhead and the other is flat bottom would it be the same code or different

Some excellent work Ade and wow at last developments around the platform area .... I was wondering if you were being paid for the advertising rights to the insulation company As to the presence of the cat I'm sure you know that cats don't have owners they have STAFF....... -
Like the compact layout of this project and I have to say that they is so very fine modelling going on here

Well Ade that's brilliant news about the new job and even better that you have better pay and less hours well done. It's just been a sh-t for everyone but at least both of you have come out smiling ....looking forward to a better 2021. -
The original JLTRT kits were all about 499.00 for the basic kit but under the new owner they are about £100 more perhaps explains why the original company failed

With regarding to your observation that we model what we remember in our earlier years the glaring missing Loco in the 0 gauge RTR range is the Class 24 . I know that JLTRT did it in kit form and that the new owners are going to produce it but at a price of around £600 plus motor and wheels etc plus of course sound clipping so Heljan should the able to do a RTR version for around the cost of a basic kit. I do wish Suttons Locomotive Works would move into the 0 gauge market imagine the detail they could produce
