Good morning George I've been watching this new master piece develop from a far whilst moving from the wilds of Wales to the some what flatter geography here in the Cheshire. Have to admire your skilled track work looking very good. Once I've completed in house decorating tasks the next shed project will start to develop for the construction of the 0 gauge layout. There is an old garage to demolish and some groundwork to be completed but hopefully things will start to take shape later this year. You will of course be most welcome when we are allowed to socialise in person. Will follow Moss Lane with interest in the meantime .

Just wandering ....as one does during Lock down.... an interesting observation with regard to the 'police' presence at Bench Road ...rumours are that quantities of fuel oil have been disappearing over the last twelve months !!!! police inquires are focusing on the fact that Lazy Joe is regularly seen with oil drums around the site....also they are looking to interview two 'train-spotters (grisers) who have been seen taking photographs around the site who might be able to help with their inquiries ........any comment Mr Peters

I think that experience with regard to this gear problem is probably the only answer to all the questions being asked on this thread as to which loco models etc are pron to gear splitting. I was watching a selection of Simon George's 'Heaton Lodge' layout on Youtube earlier today where a Class 37 and a rake of coal hoppers take 6mins 31sec to complete a full circuit of the layout, With this sort of high usage he would be the one person who will have a good knowledge as to which models suffer from this problem. Does anyone know the gentleman in question to ask for his experiences with Heljan 0 gauge loco's ?
