  1. Sorry, I thought this was a football thread Mike.
  2. I'd like to be the first to say........................ WILSON OUT Thank you. Mike.
  3. Even more worrying when you think how old the grandchild must be to be able to decorate a banner and fix it 4 feet up a set of railings Mike.
  4. Never! Mike. (BTW I think the handrail has been trampled on, the other one is straight. Am I becoming etc etc.)
  5. Or import them yourself? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/P87S-60pcs-all-Seated-1-87-Painted-Figures-Passenger-HO-/310298565378?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item483f3c5b02 Mike.
  6. Due to the steel plates not being kept in ideal conditions, this effect can happen when storage has been vertical, (say up against a wall), and rainwater has run down them and created initial rusting, and the plates have been welded on horizontally. Also, if the plate was at the bottom of a pile and other plates have been dragged across it when removed. Remember that rust proofing was minimal, a quick wire brush and a coat of wagon colour, job done. Mike.
  7. OMG, breakdown stock, it just gets better Mike. PS. Shame about the telephone numbered locos!!
  8. Thanks Bernard, but, what is the (technical/legal) difference between owning the full rights to future use and owning copyright, is that not full rights? Mike.
  9. All the slides we shall be selling are originals and therefore sold with full rights to future use but are sold without copyright because we do not have copyright ownership. Can anyone explain this to me, doesn't make sense to my tiny mind, especially on a monday morning, Mike.
  10. But at least his pets don't smoke! Mike.
  11. With the header course on top and the panel design of building I think this is a boundary wall, quite popular in industrial areas for ease and speed of construction. You just need to find what was inside it! Mike.
  12. The platforms are hinged at floor level and lift up to the middle to make a raised platform, you can see the baseboard joiner/alignment dowels on the right hand one! Mike.
  13. To answer my own question, I can't find another mis-spelt Mackerel, but have found a Lampray, wonder if they were (wrongly) lettered by the same person and others might exist? Mike.
  14. "NEAR MINT" It either is or it isn't mint. Therefore it is in good condition. Mike.
  15. From memory, so it ain't necessarily correct, but ISTR they were boards screwed on denoting some form of departmental use? Mike.
  16. Wow, thanks for posting. Also, Mackerel spelt wrong in the first pic, I wonder if they are all like that? Mike.
  17. Weathered to the highest standard????? Maybe to the highest standard he can achieve.
  18. I think you'll find that's the Southern Railway one. Mike.
  19. Brilliant discovery. I was hoping to find a shot of a Barrow Hill Sulzer 2 somewhere, just as I remembered the stencilling. Thanks.
  20. I believe Dave Larkins facts and figures are the accurate ones to go for, unless,,,,,,, Mike.
  21. Woodhead passenger train - help with identifying coaches. Don't know how to do a link, but the above thread has details.
  22. All 75 available as of now in 4mm & 7mm, and with personalised builders plates etched in a thinner material than the nameplates so as to improve the detail.
  23. November 1968. So perhaps an Edinburgh to Blackpool illumination special. Long - long - short boiler grilles. So either, 260 - 266, 287 - 304, 325 - 344, 345 - 399. Can't see a multi working socket on the bogie sideframe. So for me 260 - 266. Which were green in 1968 to narrow it down a bit more?
  24. Unique Jon, LS7050, W H Davis, 1975. When built and in it's early days of service it was in all over stainless steel. Got the number of the big bird somewhere but can't find it. Watch this space!
