  1. There is one at Leicester depot - the single-ended siding in front of the old power box.
  2. That'll be the first day training run of Northern's new class 195.

    yahoo email

The Yahoo app on my Android phone updated about a week ago and I've had no notifications of new emails since. Also, a number of groups using the 'Yahoo Groups' feature have moved / are moving to IO Groups due to poor service from Yahoo.
  4. The green shunter is part of the Andrew Briddon collection (can't remember its full details though!).
  5. DCR still own and operate 56103 and 56091 (although 091 is currently stored awaiting engine work). And until the recent incident in Wembley yard, 56303 was a regular performer for them.
  6. That platform certainly looks the business - in fact, it would be the perfect basis for a diorama....
  7. Although the brighter colour looks nicer, I would say that the original 'brown' looks closer to the RS colour.
  8. That canopy is pretty impressive! The new layout looks great - plenty of track, but doesn't look 'squashed' into the space.
  9. Just got back myself - a massive change from the last time I went (about 5yrs ago). The place has huge potential but, looking at the state of the head gear, I hope they get the funding required soon.
  10. Looks good so far - plenty of operational interest there!
  11. I hope your operation goes well Re the canopy, it looks like etched brass might be an option instead of casting?
  12. Good to hear the chemo is working The winding wheels look good - I reckon the complete headgear will be very impressive!
  13. Whether the wheel face is painted black would depend on how clean they were when the 'white-walls' were needed, or how much time the depot staff had to prepare the loco. So - basically - if you want to model the loco as 'ex-works', paint the faces black. If you want to weather it, leave them
  14. That looks really impressive! Definitely one of those times where "Impressionism" wins over "True Scale".
  15. Very sad. My claim to fame though - I've been heckled by Ken Dodd after I fell asleep at one of his shows!
  16. I would suggest 14.2mm. The 3mm Society has a 14.2 track base available, so you could use that as well as building your own.
  17. Lynch Plant Hire was in the frame, but another company has been rumoured recently.
  18. The sign in that picture looks straight in comparison to 884's nose...
  19. Judging by your previous work, I would reckon on your plan working! Especially if you detail the front section, as the viewers eye will be drawn to that automatically.
  20. Looks like there might be at least 2 people who filled the survey in with that scale and gauge - the market is growing!

    Class 142

That picture is historic now! And maybe a clue to your next project?
  23. What a simple solution! Do you use the bubble wrap to lift the loco out, or is there enough 'give' in the box to grab the loco sides?
