After the comments by one of the ratings agencies today the rise of the AUD against the GBP might slow down a little.

  3. I'm glad your glad, my statement stands don't like the price don't buy it! Why tell the rest of us you cant afford it? Id like a Jaguar too but hey ho.
  4. Wow, great news, well done Kernow. Ps. Could everyone who is about to post with something along the lines of 'gee I want one but its too expensive, or wow thats expensive or I cant afford one., please don't bother because I'm bored already and don't care. If you cant afford it or think its too expensive then don't buy it, simple really.
  5. Gday all, I am no longer confused, I think. Appendix 2 in David Gould's Maunsell's SR Steam Carriage Stock (p.145 onwards) had all the answers I needed. Set 43 - 2637 and 6402 Set 42 - 2636 and 6401 Loose - 2629 and 267 Hattons coach numbers for R4748 are definitely incorrect. Regards Glenn PS, Anyone know why these Set numbers do not appear on the semgonline coach set number listing?
  6. Hi there, I'm confused, I like yourself would like to order the correct combination of coaches to make up a 2-set, however Hattons have R4748 listed as no. S6401S not S6402S! This is obviously incorrect when compared to the Hornby website? When you look at the Lyme Regis pack though one of the coaches is numbered as S6401S!! Like I said I'm confused, which to be fair is fairly often! I am Australian after all! At this this stage I am going to order R4746 and R4748 unless anybody thinks this is incorrect for Set 43. Regards G
  7. Hey Doug, er no thankyou Sounds like you have got it covered. Are you sure they weren't bats! Stuff with wings OK, just 8 eight legs that I don't enjoy. Although QLD also has those huge flying cockroaches!!! G
  8. Orb Spiders, ewhhh. When living in Brisbane a few years back these horrors had the annoying habit of stringing their very strong webs across the driveway and then sitting in wait perched in the middle. You haven't known true fear unless you've walked face first into a web at dusk and then freaked out wondering where the spider is. AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! G
  9. Hattons price for pre-order 204 GBP. That's $324.53 minus VAT for us Aussies (postage to be added). Got a Green one with sound from the first batch, may be tempted by a second one in blue with FYP.
  10. If you ask Kernow they would have more of an idea, or subscribe to their newsletter, regards G
  11. Yeah leapfrog! That's what there doing kids.
  12. Thank you sir for your reply, so glad I pre-ordered this version early on. Really looking forward to it arriving. The photos of the black ones look brilliant. Any chance we will see some photos of this soon or are they in the mag? Cheers Glenn
  13. Did I imagine it or did I read somewhere that this version was sold out to pre-orders? Cheers G

  19. Hi mate, Any chance of some pics of the late crest version please. Thank you, Regards G
  20. Not the end of the world obviously but Hornby website now showing delivery of the BR late crest S15 being the 4th of November. Really been looking forward to this, just have to be more patient. At least when it does eventually arrive in 'December' I can give it straight to the wife and say here is your Christmas present to me to be wrapped and put under the tree! Maybe the problem is that Dave Jones has booked up every ship available with O2's!!! Regards G.
  21. Once a jolly swagman camped by a billabong under the shade of a coolibah tree. He looked up and what did he see? A knackered out horse trying to pull a "sweet bloody chariot" whose wheels had fallen off! Go you good thing :)
