  1. Hi, Now that the cats out of the bag with the Revolution KFA. Could the binliner containers be done cheaper? If they can hit a reasonable price point then I'd go for 10 or 20. Regards, John P
  2. Can they actually stop a model being produced, or just make it very difficult? Seems a bit short sighted to me. Regards, John P
  3. Yet more money to be found and spent, oh well. A great choice as far as I'm concerned. Now do any of the 3D fraternity do those blue bin liner containers? Regards, John P
  4. OK so should we start another thread so we can all get giddy together? How about a 92 or 89 if its a loco? Or the Preston Bitumen tanks, or a 4 up STVA car carrier? Enough frothing from me. Over to the rest of you. John P
  5. A new model!!!!! Argh, my credit cards can't stand it! Regards, John P
  6. I only just got the February edition and its so badly water damaged I can't read the bottom of the pages. International bulk mail! John P
  7. I think the Northern liveried 319 is a great choice and not just cos I want it. With the 319 it means that every MU seen in the North West today is available ready to run, except for the Pacer, which Dapol should release soon, the TPE 185 units (please Ben & Mike), and the 323's which should be going to LM later this year. A re- release of the Voyager would be helpful as well. John P
  8. Good news on the 320/321. I'll buy one or two regardless of livery, BTW have you considered DCC sound for them as an option, maybe it was discussed earlier, but I've forgotten. Thanks once again to you and Ben for all the good work. Hopefully this will convince everyone that electrics are much better than boring old modernisation plan diesels. I know, I'm a bad boy, I'll get back in my box now. John P
  9. Hi, I just got a Z21 and a Switch 8 MK2. It won't work unless you turn Railcom off on the Z21. I know this is 6 months late for you sorry. Also I posted a Switch 8 question on here earlier, I got a short across my main bus and my Switch8 now fails to power up properly, it gets as far as 3 bars and hangs up. Any clues? Thanks, John P
  10. In agreement with earlier posts. I am one who would pay more for the model, I'm in for 3 Pendo's already and the more modern EMU's, DMU's that get made the better as far as I am concerned. I just turned 54, when I was 6 steam was just being phased out in the North West. I wasn't a spotter so my only recollection of the 70's is DMU after DMU at my local station and no freight. I 'understand' the magic of steam but surely there have to be enough modellers of contemporary trains to make this model worth while. Regards, John P
  11. Brit15, Greenhalghs bakery is in Horwich, that's almost local. But before we digress too much I think there is already a pie thread on this forum. Regards, John P
  12. Nice. I lived in Westhoughton and would take the train through Wallgate to Kirby and change to the Merseyrail electrics to get to Uni in Liverpool. I'd use Wallgate to get to model shops in Wigan and to transfer to North Western. What era are you modeling? All I remember in the 70's and early 80's was DMU after DMU with the occasional binliner to Appley Bridge and trains to the MOD depot on the Southport line. I'm looking forward to seeing this develop. Regards, John P
  13. I assumed that once it was at Wallgate coming from Pemberton then the shortest route over the pennines would be Bolton Man Vic etc. As it is its going via Warrington and Stockport to get to Rochdale Regards, John P
  14. OK I figured out the route, so still no freight through Bolton. I would have thought Bolton Man Vic would be quicker than the existing path. Is there a lack of paths along this route? Thanks, John P
  15. How did you find out the routing via Wigan Wallgate? Where does it go after that? Does it head to Bolton and then reverse, or does it travel through Bolton and Man Vic? Thanks, John P
  16. Hi Ben, Not my region, but I already have a 350 in LM livery so I've signed up for the LM321. Hope this goes well, the more AC electrics the better. John P
  17. HI Guys, What will the process be for International orders? Thanks, John P
  18. I pledged on the KIckstarter as I was going to use my son's address in Manchester. But now I've placed my order direct with Rapido as I live in the US. John P
  19. Hi Jason, First of all many thanks for deciding to take this forward. Ben and Mike are now taking 50% deposits under plan B. What's the state of play for international orders directly through Rapido? Will you also be taking 50% deposits? Thanks, John P
  20. Hi Mick, I see you've used ESU switchpilots with the Tortoises. I though they were only good for solenoid motors, or am I missing something? Thanks, John P
  21. Hi Ben and Mike It may be we're missing a trick here. I saw on the Yahoo N Gauge group that people aren't really aware that they can pledge as little as 1 pound, just to provide support. If every member of this forum pledged 1 pound that would be an extra 24000!! I think we need to spread the word that everyone can make a small contribution. John P
  22. None of the new releases interest me as I'm modelling the North West today. BUT I think Bachman deserve praise for bringing out pre-grouping stock. If they carry on and bring out something similar for the L&Y or LNWR I'd be tempted to build a small layout based around that. John P
  23. I'm disappointed they didn't focus on my personal wants. But more realistically I am puzzled that there aren't more reliveried items. Surely a class 150 in Northern Rail livery would sell well, or FGW, or how about a Colas 60? John P
