  1. I would not be sure that it's next as I already have the fire engine and according to you list that still has to come.
  2. When and if the information becomes available i would be happy to look at this as a dead unit to be towed along with the standard unit or as a driven single. If anyone would be interested in this please let me know.
  3. No problem I have not even unpacked mine to busy it is confusing with the printing on the plinth.

  8. Fitting the Deltic with sound is fun isn't it been there done that, sounds great with the mega base speakers. Nice work Lee
  9. Sort of Ian as with several others on here I have a second passion after model railways and that's Cars mainly in my case classic Fords being a Ford trained technician in the past and some of the parts the parts are not cheap as they have to be hand made. Pete
  10. HI all I have just added 16 items for sale to the special section of my website a lot of limited addition models and several train packs all 4mm at the moment i'm afraid. Pete
  11. My Big Bertha will go around set track point work and track, I have .5 mm side movement on the first and fifth axles, 1 mm on the second and forth and full movement with on the third axle, all of the wheels have flanges on them, the third axle is also the driving axle with the DJH motor/gearbox on it as well. I hope this helps?
  12. Well Jeff OzzyO makes his own fly wheels using the cast method and they work fine & he does turn them on his lathe and balances them, if they can design a model accurately they could design a proper fly wheel.
  13. You have a very nice build there it's not until you reach this stage that you realize what an Asymmetric frame this wagon has. Well done keep the progress pics coming.
  14. It looks like an exert from an open university program (if only they had made one on the APT-E)
  15. When will we be contacted to pay the final balance payment please?
  16. Very nice but shouldn't all the car be Fiat 500's for that part of London?
  17. You and Big Jim could of been separated at Birth Dan
  18. Ian I have had that in the past it's not the varnish that is the problem its the decal type i.e. layer printed type rather than ink/varnish type. sellotape should remove the decals and then some very fine wet/dry working should get those off.
  19. Probably because they cannot remove then with out wrecking the motors. I have found that a fly wheel makes a significant difference with a Mashima motor when running at slow speeds and that goes for both scales 4 or 7mm models. if fly wheels were constructed of two materials smaller fly wheels could be used i.e. brass centre/shaft mounting and cast white metal/lead outer covering they would be far more efficient and give much better results.
  20. To be quite honest Ian you model looks far better than anything that toy company could produce. Well done sir.
