  1. And very expensive. (nice workmanship though) You could use Steph's class 47 drive method for the 37 and it would be cost effective.
  2. I'm sorry but I disagree with what I think you are inferring as the 25 263 is consistently lower suggesting that smaller diameter axles have been fitted, with larger diameter axles probably fitted to aid traction (gearing). I have never been able to figure out what people are going on about the 25's as far as I can see if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck, it's a duck. Pete
  3. Well after taking advantage of the un seasonal weather the Vix model has been primed with Acid Etch primer just need to get some Bauxite paint and then I can get here ready for decals. Pete
  4. You have made a very good job of the build Jim. The instructions were attached to the email I sent you after I had posted your order. Pete
  5. Looking very good. Two Questions? 1, Have you worked out the total length of track you will have when it's done (real world length)? 2, Are the monitors on your control panel "Touch Screens" or standard monitors? Pete
  6. Mr Grumpy Jeff like several on here collects kits and never builds But he is right about the cost good things come to those who wait. Great build so far. Pete
  7. PhilJ W It would be nice if you could copy & Paste it on here for those of us who do not use Facebook Please?
  8. You really should use a proper smoke generator compared to those old technology things. ESU £60 from SWD and they will work controlled by the ESU XL decoder, no dodgy relays or chance of them catching fire to worry about and the company who makes them is still going.
  9. I would be prepared to re scale all of the frets needed for the kit to 4mm but it would be up to the modeller to find out if it could be built. If anyone would be interested in that please contact me through my website Pete
  10. 7mm Kit to be released during the first quarter of 2016 Pete
  11. Brian Could you post some pictures of how you did the inlaid track on the yard please? Great looking layout. Pete
  12. Don't forget put the handrails back on.
  13. Is there room for the footpath on the bridge? Looking great. Pete
  14. I think the reason for the UJ is so that the Chinese designers could fit a cheaper basic inferior motor making the manufacturing cost less so that Oxford Rail can make more profit per model there is no other reason for the UJ to of been fitted.
  15. Hi Dave Did the big shed build go according to plan? Pete
  16. You have the vibration because of the UJ and what looks like only one end of the motor fixed. If you can fix the terminal end as well the vibration will go. Great idea how you have dealt with the problem. Pete
  17. Shouldn't be so cack handed Alex It does look as if Heljan have cone a bit to close to the feasible production design limits with all of the problems happening in the same section of the bodies. I very much doubt that they will re run any bodies, if they do it would be after the Chinese new year month break next year.
