  1. Yeah agreed, there's a thread for the 158 and 170 to discuss those models in.
  2. The Bachmann 055 model is quite flat in terms of the blue. From the photo Jerry has posted above, this better matches photos I've seen of the livery on Flickr. Loving these projects Jerry.
  3. It's obvious but it depends what era you model as to what loco classes are more popular etc. One example out of many is the 47's on Virgin XC runs back in the early 2000's - lots of different locos used and arguably perhaps they were more popular back then the 37's. At the end of the day it's whatever interests you...
  4. What issue was this in? Did they specify when the next production run would take place?
  5. I think November is probably achievable, looking forward to these.
  6. Getting back on to the topic of the new Bachmann 47... Do we know when these will be hitting the shops? I've seen November/December quoted on the Kernow site...
  7. I'm also keen for these to arrive, particularly after your mini update above Ben. Looking forward to seeing the EP samples in due course.
  8. Plenty of options available now, even some of the old Lima stuff has some relevance if you re-motor it or stick it under a Vi-Trains or Hornby Railroad chassis with some further detailing work. I don't mind the Heljan model myself, although I understand its inaccuracies. This latest model from Bachmann is a winner though and I will be pre ordering a sound fitted version of 375 for sure.
  9. Out of curiosity I've been looking on a well known auction site at some of the current 47's available and most are upwards of £120, some are near the £150 mark. When you factor in a DCC sound install, even if you do this yourself it makes the new models with sound quite good value. I'm referring to the non sound deluxe here, just sound fitted. Chris
  10. Still trading, I've received an order in the last week or so. Chris
  11. Whilst I'm not being critical for the sake of it, they would look better with the 2 supports that allow the ploughs to be attached to the bufferbeam. I've often made them out of wire.
  12. I know it's not the answer most people want to hear but there are plenty of after market ploughs from the likes of PH Designs or even old Heljan 47 sets which can be used. I would never use the supplied ploughs, there just not realistic.
  13. The sheer mount of new releases means that it's probably wise to stick to one era or time period to starve off temptation. I know for myself that I don't need or want 100 locos on my layout as I only tend to have one loco out at one time.
  14. Interested to see what liveries and running numbers will be announced tomorrow. Excellent announcement by Bachmann, I'll be having a couple..
  15. Yeah so examples like 751 I've shared in a photo of in this thread above and others - it will be interesting to see whether these are done. I think it would be logical for Hattons to do another run of the 66's, plenty more liveries to do and the fact that there isn't many about now available online must show they that were popular despite the obvious issues.
  16. I would be interested to see whether they tool up any of the Euro versions of the 66's. I think these would sell well.
  17. Looking forward to these wagons being released, hopefully to recreate scenes like this.
  18. Does anybody know when these are due at all please?
  19. Thanks Pete, further progress will be coming soon.
  20. Latest batch of these 33's now due in Q4 according to the project update from Heljan on this forum.
  21. All looking very nice Jerry. The 47's look very good, the weathering really brings out the livery well. Still tempted by one of these!
  22. The 60 is looking great Jerry, the chassis weathering is particularly nice.
